Glad to see Jun being happy with a new tent. For birthday perhaps. Our local roof top tent maker RGV are capable and possibly on par with others. Feedback from campers will help. Same ingredient, different dish showed versatility in a 'chef.

Recognised the place straight away, at one time I came here 3 weekends in a row to camp 😅 The RTT is awesome, I know what you mean about not having to wake up in the middle of the night to adjust anything. It looks great too!

Good evening Jun. I am interested to know if you feel safer in your roof tent than if you are camping on the ground? I know that you have venomous snakes in your Country and snakes are my worst nightmare! Of course, living in Ireland you will probably know that there are no snakes which is just wonderful for me. I’m very impressed with your new tent which looks very comfortable. I remain impressed by your organisation, never before have I seen such a well prepared camper. Kind regards Alan
Hi Alan, the roof top tent has been a game changer for me. Not only is it quick to set up, comfortable to sleep in, it offers lots of safety too being high above the ground. No worries with heavy rains, creepy crawlies, etc. So yeah, I definitely feel much safer in it :)

Notice that Jun was sweating profusely as the outer shirt soaking wet, kesian amoi ni, hihihi
Quite sure Jun was using a non stick pan so stirring on it with something metal is not quite right(later while preparing breakfast change to wooden scoop baru betul), as metal might damage that non stick layer
This time no animal(cat, dog, chicken, rabbit, duck...) as friends but that annoying bee, hihihi

Did you find it challenging to keep your rooftop tent clean? Some people suggest airing it out for 1-2 days to ensure it’s clean and dry. Did you find it difficult to do that, considering you also use your car for everyday purposes?
Hi, it's a valid question and concern. It is super important to keep the RTT dry all the time, or else we're just gonna invite molds and mildew. For me, I usually make sure I sun dry my RTT before I pack it down and leave a campsite. So it's clean, dry, and ready for the next camping trip :)
@@JunOutdoors I noticed you are no longer using a rooftop tent (RTT) on your Toyota Land Cruiser. Do you prefer using an RTT, sleeping inside your Land Cruiser, or using a ground tent? I'm about to buy a truck and would love to hear your preferences and recommendations.

this could be a little outdated knowing you already switched to ADA, mind to ask what's the height of your car with this RTT on? do you have issue on entering Parking or going through tolls?
The total height of the car with the RTT on was just under 2.1m. No issue going through toll but I always play it safe by taking the lorry lanes. Definitely no more visits to the malls because the clearance is mostly 2.0m only.
how much the total cost of awning & RTT? By the way, great experiences!
Awning is about 1-1.5k
RTT is about 5.5k for this particular type and size
hey Jun, what is the dimension of that rtt in closed position? mind sharing the dimension? is it the same like your old one?
Hi, this RTT is 1.6m x 1.4m. Unfortunately I can't remember the thickness but the combined height of the RTT on my Subaru Forester is just under 2.1m. And this one is thinner than the previous one :)

Would it be humid and hot inside a RTT during the day, esp in malaysia weather?
Definitely hot and humid in any type of tent during the day. Not sure about everyone else but I usually am not in a tent during the day, only when sleeping at night!
I forgot to remind you back then, since you often go to campsites offroad, your bearings may not last long, thus it is recommended to get the newer design backing plate if you haven't already done so, so that your wheel bearings last longer
Thanks! Well, I've changed the bearings twice in 2 years. Lets see, might upgrade my vehicle soon. While the Forester is very capable, I have also gained insight into the limitations it has in the camping & overlanding lifestyle.

i still think abt hard shell tent or soft shell tent. look forward of ur comment in future.
Both hard shell and soft shell have pros and cons. But I think hard shell tents have more advantages, which I will hopefully share in the near future :)
