Aww thank you so much! I think if you wanted to stop selling the physical products completely in that shop, you could just sell digital ones in there. But I wouldn’t sell both physical and digital in the same shop.

So easy to understand! I’m interested on offering business card, and it takes time to do. So, how can I offer it and send them to the clients? Thank you so much
Thank you so much! For something like that, you can make it very clear when they can expect the files. Something like "please allow 2-3 business days for receipt of files." After you're done creating them, you would send them to the email address on file with Etsy (I do this for my custom files).
Love how you walked through everything so clearly. Question… your products are in your own computer files. When you upload the product to sell, does it create a link from your computer for the buyer to buy? I’m working on items now and was wondering where I need to store the downloads and digitals to create the links for purchase. Just learning the process and I have lots of questions.
Hi Anne, A very thorough explanation! The $0.20 cents you mention is only a one time listing cost for all four months? So basically, you can sell as many times an item just for a $0.20 cents during those four months and continue to pay $0.20 each four months in the future? If it sells before the four months, since this is downloadable product you have to pay $0.20 again?
Hi i enjoy your video well put together. There is a few question i have just to be sure 1.A person can create in one store under one listing with lots of diffrent background font style and size colors etc with paying 0.20 cents for that listing ? Can i change the wording for some of the cards or it must remain the same eg.Happy Wedding in one. Then blessed wedding in the other.?
Thank you! For your questions: 1. I don't think so - unless you set it up as a physical product, you don't get many options. 2. I would just make separate listings for these.
Instructive vid !! But I'm a little confused about the 4 files you Uploaded.... Does the Customer have the CHOICE to download ANYONE of them..at 3$ each... ..or can they buy ALL 4 ...for 3$... ? Many thanks in advance !! 😊
Hello would you mind explaining or maybe even making a video on how to make a personal and commercial license file to h ave included in the zip file once its purchased, thanks!
Thank you so much! There are ways to take down stolen artwork via the site. Also, there are Facebook groups where many will pool their money to sue those who steal artwork.
hi, i just found this video accidentally and its really interesting, im a traditional artist who wants to learn graphic designing, i checked all of your videos and you have a lot and i dont know which one should i learn first, any suggestion for beginners like me..thanks!
To learn graphic design in general, it's probably best to take a full course on Skillshare or Udemy. But if you're just wanting to learn the programs on my channel, I would start with Illustrator, then learn the most-used tools - Selection tools, Pen tool, Rectangle, Type, etc. If you search my channel for 'tools' I have several of those.
Any file that you upload to Etsy has to be just that - a file. So you could export to Powerpoint or PDF, and then upload to Etsy. Another option would be to let the customer know you'll be sharing the link with them once they buy. I wouldn't really recommend that, because they will probably want to edit it, so it would need to be a different link for each buyer...and you would need to store it for them forever.
Thank you Anne for the video. I am wondering how do we set up license option in our digital product listing? Can we use 1 listing for 1 product that offee 2 types of license (personal n commercial) with two different prices? If not, should we make two listing for one same product but with different price and license? I have been wondering on this and have not find the answer till now. Hahaha... Btw thank you so much and wish you a successful life... Have a nice day 😊😊😊😊
You're welcome! I've seen a few different options. Some just allow commercial license on everything. Or some people offer personal use only, and then have a generic 'commercial license' listing. The buyer can buy any listing in the shop, then also buy the commercial license listing. That way you don't need to have 2 listings for every design.
That is an Awesome Video, thank you for explaining it all so well. Is there a way to use the free listing option? I already opened the shop before I could see the free listing option? I am just getting started and could use all help. Thanks
Thank you!! I don't think you can use the free listings if your shop already exists, unfortunately. To see if you have free listings, go to your Shop Manager, then Listings. Then in the upper right, you'll see a big black Add a Listing button, and on that button, it'll say 'XX free' if you have them.
After they buy, the files are automatically available to them - they can download immediately (in most cases). If it's a custom listing, I just made a video about that (best practices) - th-cam.com/video/fm_qiXoc55o/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for all information. I would be very grateful, if you would help me and answere in my question. I am going to open a shop on Etsy very soon and I am considering whethere good or not to sell on the same shop Digital downloads and prints on canvas? Or is it better to open two shops: in one to sell only Digital downloads and inthe other one to sell wall art prints on canvas?
I personally would have separate shops for this. You'll find the customers don't read about exactly what they're getting, and then get upset with you when it's not what they were expecting. I think having both in the same shop would cause confusion for your customers. Totally up to you, though! I've seen it both ways.
@@GDHT Thank you so much for the answers and confirmation. I was thinking in the same way, just I was thinking whether or not it would be good to sell the same digital art paintings in two different shops, in one I would sell instant downloads and in the other one I would sell prints on canvas, just I don’t know, if that is a good idea. 🤔🤷♀️
I think it would be good - you might want to add in your licensing terms that they cannot sell the digital art as a print on canvas. For example, in my shop, I allow people to use my design commercially (they CAN sell it on a product, just not digitally). Otherwise they would be in competition with your other shop. You could also put a link in both shops to the other version. Something like "Want to buy this design already on an art canvas? Click here (link URL)."
Hye, thank you for your video. I have a question, when there is a purchase on the digital download product, Etsy will be the one to send the softcopy or do the seller needs to send it to the buyer?
Thank you so much for this video, it's so informative. But I was wondering about the quantity though, where you put 5. Does Etsy limit the number of times a digital product can be downloaded before I have to relist? How does that work?
Unfortunately, it's a risk you take. You can watermark your thumbnails, but someone who knows what they're doing can usually get around that. I've found that most people in the world are honest, though, and just pay for it.
Happy New! year how are you. Thank you generously for uploading this digital tutorial video. I;m learning a lot, but still a little uncertain, I am not tech savvy, and I don't have a scanner to digitize my art. But the illustrations I have are "Copywritten and Watermarked." I used a cell phone to take pics of illustrations. but the quality of photo is kinda blurr and the colors appear a greyish ivory. And I don't understand what PNG, 300 DPI, transparent pixels. QUESTION; in the quantity section of etasy application, would i say any because digital art is unlimited a download has no limit I guess? How do you set up your etsy so that Customers cannot print on demand? ANOTHER QUESTION? Are my photos automatic digital downloads once they become a photo? Can't customer just download the photo uploaded to Etsy and how do you: Attach a SCREENSHOT PROTECTOR on top of uploaded images so that Customers or viewers can't screenshot or download the art work without paying first?
I think you can put the download limit at 999 max, since it's digital that works. To set up so that customers cannot print on demand, just add that in your description. It doesn't keep them from doing it, but most customers follow license restrictions. To limit customers screenshotting, you can add a watermark to your listing photos. Then in 'files' you would give the customer the un-watermarked photo file.
Helpful video! I'm doing digital download greetings cards, but there doesn't seem to be an appropriate category for them (or physical greetings cards come to that). What would you use for something like that?
Thank you!! In the Category, just type 'card' - I found a few options that would work, including 'greeting card.' It's a little buried but you can find it easily by searching.
@@GDHT Thank you, Anne. Sounds like I should have just got on with it instead of trying to sort out everything before starting, and might well have found the answer as I went.
@@begriddled no worries! I just assumed you had gone in and tried to find it by choosing broader categories instead of searching. That can be kind of a rabbit hole. :)
if i want to sell canva templates, how should i share the templates ie using link or pdf? and do i need to pm buyers personally or buyers will get it automatic? thank you in advance 🥰
I've never sold Canva templates, but I think you would provide a link to them - you could put it in a PDF, and they would automatically have access to it once the payment goes through.
Thanks for the info! I noticed that you put in your terms that you don’t want people taking your design for a print-on-demand site... I was thinking about selling some of my better ideas this way, but do you think this could be a big problem if I ended up with a popular design, and is there any way to stop people from stealing a design?
Stealing does happen, but you can file copyright complaints with the site. I've had to do this a few times, and the sites are good about taking down the design.
The video I was searching for! Amazing explanation!❤️ Thank you! Btw I have a question. Why did you put 5 in quantity? I mean if its digital you can have put 1000 for example. Is there a reason why you put only 5? Something connected with fees or smth?☺️
@@GDHT ohhhhhh… So quantity doesn’t change anything😂 Thanks for the info! Your videos helped me a lot! Probably going to open my shop today and sell digital products!❤️
@@LyricbyLyricMusic really the only purpose in having a large quantity is not having to manually renew it when it sells. I also use it for inventory stats.
So what happens when the customers buys one of these downloads? Does the file automatically get sent to them by the system or do you physically send it? Also, for photography, how do you provide different size ratios?
Yes, it’s automatically sent once the payment goes through. For different sizes of photos, I would just specify in the listing what sizes you’ll provide and then upload each size. You get a maximum of five files, but you can have as many files as you want in a zip file (within a maximum file size)
HEllo awesome videos we learn a lot from u.i have a question please ,can I turn my etsy physical store into digital ?? I have just 3 sales and no longer want to sell physical stuff so I thought of selling digital logos instead. Is that possible ? Thank you

Appreciated
@@abdellahbirig77 maybe 600 px wide? That's a rough guess. The way I went about it when first starting is: I would just do my best guess, and then if customers complained, I would change it for them and update my new size.
Hello Graphic Design How To - Great video! Easy -step-by-step instructions. One question if I may. What would the dpi be on the actual files that you would sell the customer? 72 dpi or higher? Thanking you in advance.
@@GDHT Thank you GDHT for the quick reply. I understand 300dpi, but when you say "full size" I'm still confused. Wouldn't the customer adjust the file size to what ever they are using it for? Sorry to be so dense here.
If you're giving them a vector file (EPS, AI, SVG), then yes. If you're giving them a raster file (JPG, PNG), it will get blurry if it gets bigger than the full size print size. So you'll need to specify what they're getting (8x10, etc) or maybe give them different print sizes if you're using raster graphics.
Immediately paid, but if you sell a listing, the fee will come out of that. If you don't sell, you will need to pay Etsy (You might need a credit card to start Etsy these days). But with the link in the video, you can get 40 free listings (you don't have to pay for your first 40 products' listing fees).
Hi! This video is super helpful! I have a question regarding the quantity. I noticed you entered "5" as the quantity, what does this mean? Does it mean that once there are 5 downloads of your prodcut, Etsy would no longer post the product or no one can no longer buy it?
Yes, it means there are 5 available for sale, and once they're sold, there are no more. You have to put a quantity, I put 100 now. But I think you can put up to 1000.
It is 1 time/item. So if you list a quantity of 10 of a digital item, each time it sells, a new one will renew at $0.20. If you sell all 10, you'll have paid 10 x $0.20. Here's a video about Etsy fees: th-cam.com/video/nnbkvpEYXeI/w-d-xo.html

You have to pay the $0.20 again. Here's another video about the listing fees: th-cam.com/video/eu1UMSw1xcM/w-d-xo.html
Omg so helpful! Subscribed and ready to learn more :))
Yay! Thank you!
Hi i enjoy your video well put together. There is a few question i have just to be sure
1.A person can create in one store under one listing with lots of diffrent background font style and size colors etc with paying 0.20 cents for that listing ?
Can i change the wording for some of the cards or it must remain the same eg.Happy Wedding in one. Then blessed wedding in the other.?
Thank you! For your questions:
Thank you! They will get all 4 for $3 in this case. If you want them to be able to choose, you can set up separate listings for each.
Thank you so much!!! Helped out a lot!
You're welcome! I'm so glad the video helped!

Hello would you mind explaining or maybe even making a video on how to make a personal and commercial license file to h
ave included in the zip file once its purchased, thanks!
I actually don't do this myself, but it could just be a Word document saved as a PDF, if you wanted. :)
Hello, how do I adjust the resolution of my downloads? How to get them from KB to MB?
Thank you ☺️ love your video!
Thank you!! What type of downloads are you creating? And what program did you create them in?
thank you 👍🏼 this really helped me !!

Is the price for each file or for the whole four files?
For each listing, you have 1 price, so it would be for the whole 4 files, if that's how you wanted to set it up.
New subscriber. Great video! I was wondering how you prevent people reselling your files? You are not going to sue them for a few dollars! Thanks!
Thank you so much! There are ways to take down stolen artwork via the site. Also, there are Facebook groups where many will pool their money to sue those who steal artwork.
@@GDHT Thank you!

hi, i just found this video accidentally and its really interesting, im a traditional artist who wants to learn graphic designing, i checked all of your videos and you have a lot and i dont know which one should i learn first, any suggestion for beginners like me..thanks!
Thank you. I got my solution from this video. Thanks again.
You're welcome! I'm so glad the video helped!!
Perfect, just what I was looking for and so easy to follow thank you
Thank you so much!!
Another perfect video🙂
Thank you so much 😀
Hi! do you have a video on how to upload a google slide to Etsy? Or instructions on how to do so?
Any file that you upload to Etsy has to be just that - a file. So you could export to Powerpoint or PDF, and then upload to Etsy. Another option would be to let the customer know you'll be sharing the link with them once they buy. I wouldn't really recommend that, because they will probably want to edit it, so it would need to be a different link for each buyer...and you would need to store it for them forever.
This was so helpful - thanks!
You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful!
@@GDHT Unfortunately I don't see it. Thanks for replying to my query though.
@@parulsanghi1195 shoot! Sorry to hear that.
After they buy, how do they receive it? Can you tell me what's a preferred method?
@@GDHT perfect advice!!! Thank you so much for your time to answer and advice me.
@@monikapociute9350 you're welcome!! Good luck with your shop!
Hye, thank you for your video. I have a question, when there is a purchase on the digital download product, Etsy will be the one to send the softcopy or do the seller needs to send it to the buyer?
Etsy sends it to the buyer for you, unless it's a custom digital file of course.
Thank you so much for this video, it's so informative. But I was wondering about the quantity though, where you put 5. Does Etsy limit the number of times a digital product can be downloaded before I have to relist? How does that work?
You’re welcome ☺️! I actually made a video about this: th-cam.com/video/eu1UMSw1xcM/w-d-xo.html
@@SVGCF Thank you so much, this was so helpful😊
Ooh sorry, used the wrong account to answer that!
Thank you for your video. How do you protect your artwork from being stolen when you place it in the thumbnail?
Unfortunately, it's a risk you take. You can watermark your thumbnails, but someone who knows what they're doing can usually get around that. I've found that most people in the world are honest, though, and just pay for it.
Graphic Design How To Thank you.
Very informative. to the point... great tutorial.
I'm glad it was helpful. Thank you!
excellent tutorial, what size should the image be for buyers to view?
Thank you! The recommended size for listing images is 2000px for the shortest side of the image, and a resolution of 72PPI.

@@BradenBrandRealityTV yes, any size for the long side.

Happy New! year how are you.
QUESTION;
in the quantity section of etasy application, would i say any because digital art is unlimited a download has no limit I guess? How do you set up your etsy so that Customers cannot print on demand?
ANOTHER QUESTION?
Are my photos automatic digital downloads once they become a photo? Can't customer just download the photo uploaded to Etsy and how do you: Attach a SCREENSHOT PROTECTOR on top of uploaded images so that Customers or viewers can't screenshot or download the art work without paying first?
But I do have Copyright and Watermark Registration.
@@GDHT Thank you generously , You Are A Menu Of Kindness.God Bless You. I hope your New Year is as wonderful as you Are.

@@GDHT ouh ok nice idea, thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you, dear! Precious info! 🌹
You're welcome - I'm glad to hear that!
Thank you! Do you have a post on how to save your image for a print on demand option through ETSY? Ex. Invitation?
Thank you very much....I’m so lucky I found you🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Awww thank you so much!!
The video I was searching for! Amazing explanation!❤️ Thank you! Btw I have a question. Why did you put 5 in quantity? I mean if its digital you can have put 1000 for example. Is there a reason why you put only 5? Something connected with fees or smth?☺️
You have to put a quantity, I put 100 now (I should've just put 100 in the video). But I think you can put up to 1000.
@@GDHT And the listing fee is $0,20 for 1000 as well?
@@LyricbyLyricMusic yes! If you sell 1000 you would have to pay the listing fee 1000 times. If you don’t sell any, you only pay the $.20 once.
Great tutorial! This is what I’m looking for. Thanks 🙏😍
You’re welcome 😊 and thank you!!
What kind of bank account do i need does a personal checking work ?

@@abdellahbirig77 maybe 600 px wide? That's a rough guess. The way I went about it when first starting is: I would just do my best guess, and then if customers complained, I would change it for them and update my new size.
Hello Graphic Design How To - Great video! Easy -step-by-step instructions. One question if I may. What would the dpi be on the actual files that you would sell the customer? 72 dpi or higher? Thanking you in advance.
If it’s something they’ll print out, you’ll want to make it full size and 300 dpi.
@@GDHT Thank you GDHT. I appreciate your timely response and valuable advice. Have a great week, and I'm looking forward to your next video.

Immediately paid, but if you sell a listing, the fee will come out of that. If you don't sell, you will need to pay Etsy (You might need a credit card to start Etsy these days). But with the link in the video, you can get 40 free listings (you don't have to pay for your first 40 products' listing fees).

hi may i ask for the quantity since we will be selling digital products which is unlimited what number should i put for the quantity 😅
If you want, you can put 1000 - it's really up to you. :)
Can you add a digital listing through the app/iPad instead of a computer?
You can add a digital listing through iPad but NOT using the app. You would just need to go to Etsy.com through a regular browser.
Thanks! Great information!
You're very welcome!
Mai I ask. 0.20 us/picture Is mean Etsy will cut money after we upload picture or after customer buyer our picture?
It will be after you upload the picture/design. If you don't have any sales, Etsy will charge your credit card, I believe.
@@GDHT Is it only 1time /design?
It is 1 time/item. So if you list a quantity of 10 of a digital item, each time it sells, a new one will renew at $0.20. If you sell all 10, you'll have paid 10 x $0.20. Here's a video about Etsy fees: th-cam.com/video/nnbkvpEYXeI/w-d-xo.html
@@GDHT Oh I got it thank you so much that mean fee is 0.20us/1sell ^^
Yes, it's more like $0.20/new listing (it happens at the beginning of a new listing), but the idea is the same!
