      There was something going on in 1995! Go back to 1993 and passing numbers were as expected. Then they had a boost in 1994 and exploded in 1995, only to slide right back to normal in 1996 and beyond. It's no coincidence that two of these seasons happen in '95.

    • @solidsnake7167

      Jerry Rices entire career in the 80s and 90s are filled with seasons better than any wide receiver playing today. And a 1200 yard season at 40 is far more impressive than anything Brady did in his 40s. Jerry Rice has a strong argument of being the greatest football player that ever lived and his numbers are untouchable

      @solidsnake7167 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@chrisparente3446 I appreciate your ability to recite stats but I’m aware. An important distinction, and the point I’m trying to make is still having seperation ability at 40. Taking way more hits, the physical fitness and speed required to be productive at receiver is not required to play quarterback. Your mind, and your arm for that matter doesnt go at 40. Your body’s resilience, ability to recover, athleticism does. Things that aren’t required near as much at quarterback, especially for Brady as he was never a John Elway type to begin with. Quarterback is still a thinking man’s position even though it’s been dumbed down to cater to the RPO, tuck and run after the first read type quarterbacks of today

    • @chrisparente3446

      @solidsnake7167 if your arm and body don't go at 40, why is Brady the only one that has been able to be that successful like rice? Not taking anything away from Jerry because you are right, but to say Bradys isn't impressive either is odd

    1700 yards in a 14 game (averaging almost 125 yards per game) season is crazy! Especially in the run dominant and nasty defense of the 1960s NFL.
    All others pale in comparison in the modern day arcade game NFL. It’s not a coincidence that all others on this list came in 1995 or after. Two to three more games vs what Hennigan had to contend with and an NFL that has become focused on offense and the passing game!
    Crazy Legs Elroy Hirsch would likely have been on this list if he had played in a 14 game season. In 1951 he averaged almost 125 yards per game.

    Lamb's season was especially busted (in a good way) because he only put up 358 yards and 1 TD over his first 5 games as the offense bogged down with Mike McCarthy's ill-advised Texas Coast offense (which forced the ball out quickly for no good reason).
    Once the offense changed things up (12 games), he went for 108 catches, 1391 receiving yards, and 11 TDs, which would make for an excellent full season line.

    I think Amon Ra is gonna get 1700+ yards this season cuz he had 1500 or so yards and I believe 15 touchdowns with a completely torn oblique almost ALL season so if he can stay completely healthy this season, he’s gonna go places.

    2 of the receivers on this list did it under one QB - Matthew Stafford
    Also, most yardage for a rookie ever (Puka Nacua) with Stafford at QB. WR-maker, if there ever was one.

    Just some constructive criticism, you seem to stick to a template format for each player in your videos. Brief intro-how they did to start the season-best game-awards. You miss a lot of cool details doing this. For example, you didnt mention Megatrons legendary game against the Cowboys, how Julio's falcons dethroned the Panthers perfect season after he mossed Kuechly for prob his best career play, or Jefferson's game against the Bills which was his best game and where he put up his amazing one hander. These details make the video a lot cooler and show a lot more context than just sticking to a template.
