This was the best old school gathering I have been to. The Venezia Lions hosted an event that really did feel like a family reunion. Thomas you are not only one heck of a player, but an even better human being. I felt like I made a lot friends that I never knew I had and cant wait to see everyone again, especially you. BTW sorry for the bad play....I was enjoying a lot of Spritzs and Burning Walls of Fire!
@@TimmytheSorcerer I have a question, why no attacks when you have 3 factories ?? I get the whole "did not want it to get bolted" part when you only had 2, but if you animate 1 with your dualland and attack, if he plays a bolt, you can pump it twice, and bolt is no longer enough. You
When you cast that Timetwister at 48:00, technically you would need to cast the Twister, hold priority then use the Strip. If you cast the Twister and pass priority and then your opponent passes priority you do not get priority back, you then go to resolving the Twister. And at that point the next time you get priority is after you've drawn the seven cards. Good to see your deck put up that fight against The Deck.
@@DanieleBrunazzo Thanks for the correction. In all actuality I should probably not use either phrase and I shouldn't take my language lessons from a cartoon show. 😅
Hi! Cool deck with Eureka! I don't know if it's intentional, but "Four Dragons" in italian shoud be "Quattro Draghi", since "Drago" is singular form while "Draghi" is the plural form of "Dragon"
48:12 keeping priority: No that is not how it works, when you asked him if he has a response, you have yielded priority. If he says no he has no response, you do not get priority back, until Timetwister resolves, in which case the DECK player could have drawn with the LOA. This is similar to the difficult timing I have seen with Balance and Zuran Orb, where the active player plays Balance, yields priority by asking if the opponent will counter, then when they don't- the active player thinks they can sac lands to Balance. It just doesn't work that way.
@@TimmytheSorcerer BTW, nice job fighting the uphill battle against a tuned tournament deck- that can be demoralizing, but you struggled in a valiant way :)
Once you strip mine the player can respond again and choose to counterspell-it's only when all players do nothing in a row that things start resolving.
Eureka + Mirror Universe...this may make a good deck in formats with mana burn so that if you have Mirror in hand, you can burn yourself before switching to your turn and your upkeep and then switch life and then bolt.
@@TimmytheSorcerer Oh the original deck that made Mirror Universe into a restricted card was a Recursion deck (Time Walk/Fork) and ran 8 bolts and 12 spell counters. So burn helps you while Triskelion's get countered. It's a bit like today's Death Shadow decks but control based plus Recursion.
@@TimmytheSorcerer yes, it looks very wild and tries to do many things at once. But I think the Eureka and Living Plane strategy works together kinda well. Looking forward for some updates on this list in the future

It was great my friend and I’m looking forward to meet again 🙌

Thanks, I thought so when I looked back at it.
@@TimmytheSorcererYou should habe let the Timetwister resolve and the strip the LoA.
That Prosecco Cup playmat is gorgeous.
Agreed 👍
The only Italian I know is, "Non c'è la mia pozzanghera." Translation, "That's not my puddle." 😂 Not very useful.
I love it and will use it the next time I visit Italy 🇮🇹
That is more "my puddle is not there", you should say "non è la mia pozzanghera". Not sure I would understand what you meant to be fair 😉

😅 it’s not, my Italian is horrendously bad
Easy to say now but i wish you had been more agrresive with your factories in game 1. It looks you could have gotten in 7-10 more damage.
I was thinking that, 3 factories are a serious threat. Also the tutor dilemma IMO the play was to get a strip mine. Can't be countered.
Yes, I took too much risk and wanted to slam eureka on the table. Should’ve gone for the Strip.
I didn’t attack bc I thought he was on counter/burn and worried about a bolt. Losing a land early in the game is such a tempo swing.
Finally finished the eureka deck you told us about. I like it. Very fun👍🏻👍🏻.
Already working on a second version that’s a bit more creature heavy :)
Quite good games considering how often your opp was on Library. :) Thank you for posting, Timmy.

PRO secco ! 🤘🦁🤘
He tried turning the Shivan into Nicol Bolas by giving it a book to read. 🤣

Yes, I thought so. Thank you for explaining. So he should get a card or I should’ve taken the risk. Probably the latter 👍
@@TimmytheSorcerer BTW, nice job fighting the uphill battle against a tuned tournament deck- that can be demoralizing, but you struggled in a valiant way :)
Maybe you can do something against The Deck, Timmy, but just about no one is doing anything against a turn 1 on the draw Library.
Once you strip mine the player can respond again and choose to counterspell-it's only when all players do nothing in a row that things start resolving.

This was Atlantic, so with burn. I did that a few times, but it’s risky. If you go too low.. lots of burn and trikes in Atlantic.

Triskelion has an errata. It's real text says: "make the opponent tap two mana, discard a card and get three points of damage". It's a sorcery.
😂
I wonder how different (and interesting) these games would be if LOA, factory, and mind twist were banned.
I'm playing a Gentleman's tournament at the end of the month. Maybe I should give this deck another try there :)
Where did you get the triskelion toy lol
I won it at the raffle 👌 You can see a close up pic of it on my insta page @timmy_mtg
Great match! 🍻
Thanks, I doubt some of my moves looking back at it, but it was a very swingy match and I loved the deck I played, it was spectacular the entire day.
I think it was possible to win with your deck. Anyway it's a good sign.
Just have to practice some more :) It’s a cool deck to pilot.
He disenchanted your trike in game 3 instead of countering it. I think you could have responded by spending the tokens
You mean at 59:00 , I do hit him for 3. Did I miss something? 🤷♂️
Oh, no I'm sure it was me that missed it. Looked like a really fun match!
Unbelivable
Great editing. Very fluid cut. I was up commenting and then down stairs playing 😁

Crazy Living Plane build
It’s one of those decks that when it goes off it’s glorious, but it wasn’t very consistent. Needs some tweaks 😅

Game 3 was a lot of fun. Thank you, another great video 👍🏼
Thanks and yes, game 3 was great fun. Time Twister 🌪️ was mvp.
