Julia! I was adopted from China by my two dads! The Jubilee video was an interesting starting point for broader discussion, even though some questions could have been worded more "mindfully" haha. It was great to hear your additional explanations. I really appreciated this and am sure that others curious about the adoptive perspective appreciated it to. Are you planning on making more videos about adoption?!
Hello Julia. You remind me a lot of myself. I am adopted as-well. Thank you so much for making this video it really opened my eyes. Can you please make a video with your parents?
Julia, I was adopted from California. Some questions I have are 1. why did you guys decide to adopt? 2. Have your parents met your birth parents 3. Are you sensitive to the word “adopt” 4. Do you ever feel like you are adopted?
Thank you for making this video! I am considering adopting a child in the future and this video is very insightful. It's great to see an adopted grow into a happy and healthy young woman with the help of a supportive family.
I have a similar story to you. My adoptive parents were actually there for my birth. I was induced, and the paperwork was done beforehand. I was born a few states over from where i do now. My parents were also open with me about my adoption. The funny thing is i was also born with eye problems. I don’t have siblings tho😭
@@Thatgirljules2 This isn't specific AT ALL, but maybe get up and do a vlog (this doesn't have to become your niche if you don't want it too, but even as a one off), just so maybe we know more about your life, and your surroundings :D Whats your channel about? (I know it's about you but what genre?)
I'm also adopted from Russia. I was 18 months when I was adopted. I also knew I was adopted from a young age. And I look like my adopted parents aswell.
Hello Julia!! I love you. My sister is Elly belly. She referred me to you and she is right. We love you. You are a great role model.❤️🙂I subscribed and followed you on Instagram. Thank you 🌼
This was my comment in the jubilee video but I came a little late so perhaps it wont be answered but id love some sort of explanation or just a commentary into what I said: I find it weird how Americans relate culture to what you look like instead of where you grew up. I mean, sure, a black kid would experience and navigate life as a black person even though they have white parents in the sense of what others will perceive them as, but im south american and I have lots of korean friends who, even having korean parents, feel more latino than korean cause they just cant relate to a culture from a country most never even been to. They speak like us, they dress like us and they eat like us, to me theyre south american and they agree.
It is very interesting that the US does this. I think Americans relate it more to how you look just because there are many different cultures in America not just American culture. But that being said if a family of a different culture want to adopt or welcome into their family someone else with a different culture that’s totally okay! But they sure accept their culture and want to learn about it. It’s like the same if you get married to someone that has a different culture as you, wouldn’t you want to celebrate it because you love that person and want them to feel accepted?
Beautiful
