@@Noah_Boschh Wow that seems pretty good, I usually see them in the local groups being offered by hobbyist for 120-140 range. I dont think ill ever be interested in owning a tank that large but just to observe admire and respect they are great fish😂😂
I bought a galaxy koi female and I love her. So friendly. Now I have to look at old pictures to see if she has changed. She is in a four betta sorority in my 29-gallon planted aquarium. I get compliments on how pretty she is. Also on how my sorority sisters' fins are perfect. Last night I was cleaning on my tank and she nibbled on my hair and scared me. I pulled my arm out so fast she hit the floor. We were both shocked. Luckily, she was fine.😊
I feel you! The first time one of the bettas in my sorority tank nibbled on the air bubbles on my arm, I jumped, thankfully only jumped and just sighed. Bettas can spicy lmao
this betta has a red colored label on the cup which is falls on the standard group of bettas for petco and petsmart. You should be looking for the 'purple' tags for their most expensive ones red = standard bettas purple = exotic betta types

The most expensive betta on the petco menu is a dumbo ear I cant remember the details but it was in the $30 range. But at that store on that day, the mighty galaxy koi plakat was the top dog. Thanks for watching!
The plakat betta fish were once bred to fight for sport, so they do not have the curtain-like, billowy finnage that bettas are known for. Instead, they possess much shorter fins and tail that allow them to zoom through the water. Thanks for watching!
At this location on this day, it was the most expensive fish in the store. Most of the stores in this area have removed the saltwater section unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
Technically the elephant ear half moon plakat is the most expensive they currently offer at $34.99, but the day I was there the galaxy koi was the most expensive betta in stock. Thanks for watching !
Galaxy's are so beautiful they all seem to have those little glowing blue streaks on the dark areas at least mine do
Yep!
He looks so happy to be out of that cup! Beautiful fish!
He is for sure!
My local Petco always has 2 massive Arowanas for sale lol
Wow that’s crazy! They must be priced high because they are in high demand here
@@skepticalaquatics one is 77.99 and the other 109.99

Great video, i learned a lot of new information about the betta.
Thanks

I love you videos! I have a planted 10 gallon tank, and I’m thinking of putting the betta that you got
Go for it!
Cheers from my fishroom channel in Chicago, where I am a subscriber to yours. I love the lore behind the Koi Betta creation. Thanks for sharing!
It’s interesting for sure!
appreciate the quality camera work
Thanks I invested a lot into the camera for this channel. I’m still new at using it hopefully it gets even better thanks again I appreciate it
a friend of mine has a koi-betta got it petsmart ..
beautiful
Thanks for watching!
Excellent!!
Many thanks!
I think they are gorgeous. He might kill your shrimp though... My female Koi Betta did. And she was living in my planted 10 gallon... ❤
She left my Ember Tetras alone though 😊
Yeah I added a few cull cherry shrimp as a test. Ill just say today he no longer lives with shrimp lol.

Nice tip thanks !
If that was the most expensive fish in the store, that petco had a terrible selection. I routinely sold $100+ fish up to even $500
Nice! Thanks for watching!

This particular Petco stays on top of the aquatic section ! Thanks for watching !
varies by location, some of the local pet stores in my area are worse than petco and the owners are arrogant and entitled asf

Not sure if you see that spot of ick on the right pectoral fin. I have had success treating with ick x and high temperatures.
Thanks for watching so closely. No ich thankfully. He is doing great so far!
I almost bought one. saw a young samurai instead for $10 less. I will seek one one next time. I own 4 bettas.
Thats awesome. Are they all males?

I need an all red King Plakat ( or King HMPK ) but I have yet to find one at Petco!
I’m sure one will turn up eventually
I don't think so! A Galaxy Koi Placat. I think it is the Alien. Prices I've seen it would be!

you need a bigger tank with filtration. Stagnent water is not good for them.
You didn’t even watch the full video. He literally said this was a temporary tank
It has plants, too, so there is some more oxygen in the water.
Thanks
Female Betta only $1.
:)
Price?
He was $25

Isn't this actually a female due to its small fins I thought males always have fanned out fins
