The best music to listen to especially when undergoing a procedure. So relaxing. Thank You Dr. Singh; you're the best proctologist and the gentlest hands in doing colonoscopy!
@stevocali Check out other artists too. Think Sir Julian, Martin Denny, Denny McLean, Henry Mancini, the Hugos of Winterhalter and Montenegro, Wes Montgomery, Sergio Mendes. And those are just the instrumentals. vocalists are the Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin , Bobby Darin, Wayne Newton. There is an almost endless world to discover
It came from a free cd attached to issue no# 3 of Il Giaguaro magazine (see giaguarorecords on google). if you like lounge check out the Easy Tempo series (moviegrooves)... it is def must. Take care ;)
The Song - There are no lyrics it, but the woman who is singing - sings a little slow. So the singing represents someone who died sadly and tragically. A lot of people are down, mopey, and sobbing at her funeral. Her husband/son is in great pain at her funeral but doesn't say anything to anybody. He'd rather keep himself together and not breakdown in front of everybody. A few days after the funeral, the man/boy is still sad and depressed about the loss of his wife/mother. A few years pass, and one night he has this very strong and physical dream of his mother/wife. (I purposely do that because the nature of this song could go either way. She's in the kitchen, cleaning and making something to eat. The dream is so real that he can smell the cleaner that she uses in the kitchen and the food that she's making. The dream is sickeningly sweet, and there are some subtleties there to tell him that the dream isn't real. But towards the end of the song he sees a dark figure enter the kitchen. Surprisingly he sees his mother/wife interact with that dark figure as though she had known him. Right before the song ends, he unmasks himself to look at him. And he has this smile as if to say to him "You bet I killed your mother/wife. And I enjoyed it." Relief surges throw his body because now, he knows who the killer was. Now he's able to have closure for not knowing for so many years.
Nice storyline but the song is to up-beat for that scenario. Maybe usable towards the ending, when he lays the flowers at her grave. No longer a painful thing to do, now a proud thing done with honour restored.
Ugh, lovely song, but the digital compression on this one is quite evident. Reminds me of just how superior the old analog sound is. No need to go high tech, they had quality sound down to perfection fifty years ago. Word to the wise - Vinyl.
MrLinoventura Thanx Captain Obvious but the point is that both songs have a similar structure in the way the chords are made: a sexy mixture of bossa nova, smooth jazz, easy listening, Lo-Fi and and easy tempo.
This is such a cool tune. I love it. This tune also sounds like something I might hear on the weather channel while they display the local forecast.
This track was used as background music while I talked when I was a radio DJ in college. One of the cooler things I ever did.

I think of it as emotional freedom from a relationship.
