- Went to see the Harley Davidson 2024 Models reveal at my local HD dealership - Bergen Harley. Saw some of the awsome new models in person - like the 2024 CVO ST , The 2024 Street glide with the new awsome looking fairing too.
My thoughts about what is the best bang for your buck at the end of the video !

Better have a lot of money -- service work just went up again - most will have to look at it instead of ride'n it.
The Australian harley mechanic/tech posted a video a few weeks back. He took off the stock air filter on the 2023 CVO 121", by just changing it to a normal oval filter it added 8 hp on the dyno. It seems Harley choked the 121 on purpose, then let's you uncorked it for 8 more ponies quite easily.
I liked the question of why Harley did the Vvt Cover on non VVT bikes. In my work experiences, it’s to have one less part on their shelf. Changes in industry driven by bean counters, don’t make a better product, they make more money for the company.

It is absolutely amazing that the MoCo is going with the 117 for the standard touring bikes. The heritage in the green looks fantastic. I would love one of those.

3:10 ... that 'standard' Street Glide looks really nice. I prefer the air cleaner on that. CVO models ... nice, but out of my price range. I'd love to see H-D bring back the Softail Deluxe (with spokes that NEVER rust).

What a Harley/Madison Ave Joke! No mention of the Lo Rider ST, probably the hottest selling Harley in a long long time. It’s killing the big baggers so they’re pushing the big bikes they can’t sell !
Waited until today to see if HD would drop something I didn't know about yet. Went with the original plan. Traded in my 2021 Sportster S 1250 for a 2024 Low Rider S in Sharkskin Blue. Fun day.

Package extras sandy... cvo st gets that breatherbfor more air input more HP... the others are just the ones that models have 117 gets the old 114 looking ones and the cvo vvt gets a lil more uograded than the 117 one...
I love the new Street Glides and what you now get for the money. Are you getting tempted by any of these? 👀 I think the perfect bike would be the Lowrider ST with some of this new tech.

Sandy: per my dealer there is no RG/SG standard vs. special. It’s just a SG or RG. Only engine is 117 liquid cooled.
That’s how it used to be. There were no special models when I bought my 2013 streetglide new. It was just streetglide and Roadglide.

Interesting, I have two big boys (2014 SGS and 2022 RGS) and I’ve never heard of a VVT. What is that? Yes I’m a bit ashamed😂

I don't care for the red engine highlights and carbon fiber... I prefer plain and simple. I also don't like the engine guard. Makes it look like a stunt bike. And I don't like the CVO price. With that said, it has a lot of positives. To each his own :-)
Finally HD is getting things right at least with the Road and Street Glides. All safety features included and led lights!

Man the 2024 CVO Road Glide ST is truly a beast. That bike is insanely beautiful. But then there’s just the CVO Road Glide. I’ll have to investigate to see what’s the difference. And the legendary orange is incredible. No more wrap around bags anymore , what the heck those were awesome. And what’s with the vvt , some 117’s will have it some won’t , even if they have the vvt cover , huh , no way. That guy has to be stoned. A breakout 117 isn’t vvt , but a road glide 117 with the vvt cover is not a vvt , bullshit !!
It’s a cost saving measure from Harley. Instead of 2 different cam covers they just using one.
@@Prometheus1979 Actually its not. No VVT on the CVO ST High Output so they can maximize the power. VVT allows for maximum torque and no VVT allows for maximum power. So the elimination of VVT sacrifices some low end torque and fuel efficiency to gain peak power.
What are you talking about? I said they not using 2 different cam covers to save money just using one whether it has the vvt or not.

@@Prometheus1979 I’m still learning. So looks like the soft tail line up like breakout have the 117 m8. The baggers have a 117 , but it must be a whole new engine cuz they have that vvt valve cover but aren’t vvt. So the CVO’S get the vvt. Not exactly , the cvo road glide st gets a 121 high output non vvt. Which is also Harley’s most powerful production motor to date. But yes has the vvt cover. So softails have original m8. Baggers have new vvt engine. Some vvt , some not. The cvo street glide and road glide get the 121 vvtYeah you weren’t stoned , Harley has that many different engines , but not so complicated any more. Sorry bro.

lol younger people don’t want baggers. My first Harley was a 2011 streetbob then went to baggers. As you get older And ride more you appreciate the storage.

"Ketchup Red" LOLOL)))) That color is gonna be a Flop I think..it's too Brown to be any sort of "Rock Red" as they call it.
I was disappointed in the CVOs when they were introduced in 23 and am still disappointed in them this year. Harley did as little as possible to update the tour line and kept the worst part which which is the frame and its horrid geometry. So we still have lackluster suspensions and we still need to update the windscreens to fit because they still are the only brand at this price point without adjustable windscreens, without an advanced suspension, and without other quality of life features like central locking, that most manufactures offer on bikes at the same price point of the base model Street Glide and Road Glide.
They to double down the new ST models do not even have the VVT enhancements! Given that I am an owner of a FXLRST and this it my third Harley I guess I need to have my head checked for accepting what is basically just the same hog in a new dress.
You say vvt 50 times, but never explained what that is! Maybe everyone knows...but I don't. 😞
Variable valve timing.

VVT = Variable Valve Timing. It increases the lift of the valves as the RPM increases. Almost like having a higher lift cam installed while you're accelerating and then uninstalled when you're slowing down.
I don't think I will ever warm up to the video game gages..

The carbon fiber looks like cheap Chinese plastic. If it does not say VVT its not VVT.
