I've been to Captain George's many times and find it to always be super clean and super stocked full of a variety of seafood among other foods. I've always left there satisfied. I go there solely for a few of their items like the crab legs, crawfish, shrimp and their own special crab imperial!! Yummm! And their dessert selection is unbeatable! I love it all, especially their home made Greek baklava and carrot cake!!!! Personally, I have never been disappointed.
We’ve visited several seafood buffets in the area and Captain George’s is our favorite. Everything is good...especially the crab legs! We return every trip to Myrtle. And it’s a super fun atmosphere!
Was here today with my pops 1st time every eating at a seafood buffet like this and I enjoyed it very much I ate many plates of good food. Definitely will be taking the 2 hour trip from goose Creek again.
Super cool looking with all the mast and other decor, the price is cheap for all you can eat seafood., looked yummy and that dessert table was endless. One big plate of crab is easy 35 dollars and I’d have at least four mountain’es plates of legs alone.😍🤙🏽🍻
For the price we usually go to the Admirals Flagship in Murrells inlet. It's like $32 with crab legs and $26 without. Or Seafood World which also offers the same option. Depending on our mood if we are looking for quality over quantity we always go to the Flamingo Grill. I'm partial to the seared ahi tuna. We always get lobster bites for an appetizer. It's pricey but worth it if I have money to spare.
I’m 22 been going to Myrtle beach since I was 6 and I can say I’ve never not ate at captain George’s At least 1 time on every vacation . For me it is a must or the vacation was not complete lol . Also this is the only buffet I’ve ever been to on the Grand Strand , an I would definitely never cheat on captain George’s .
Sea Captains House is the place to eat. I’ve lived here since 1967. Murrells Inlet I would recommend Creek Rats. Don’t spend 35.00 per person on buffet food.
Wanda Benton yes! I can’t remember exactly but Sea Captain has a shrimp cocktail salad type dish flavored so unique..can’t remember exactly but been craving it ever since. Lotta great spots in Murrels Inlet-Drunken Jacks..etc..buffets are overrated and overpriced for sure.
I don't have any complaints. Fresh shrimp, fresh crab legs, sirloin, crab cakes, oysters, all your fried seafood, etc. The quality of the food is good. You can go to a non-buffett seafood restaurant and probably get the same brand of food the buffet is offering unless you go the fine dining route. Believe me, Captain George's is excellent. So is Crabby Mikes. I'd rather spend the money at a seafood buffet like these two places. Not saying anything bad against the non buffet restaurants in Myrtle beach but the food is only good there too but not overly better than what you can get at the buffet. It's all generally the same quality in my opinion. On occasion you might get some dry salmon or fish but did you know you can request a fresh portion from your server? Steak as well 😉 Best seafood I ever had was on a cruise ship in a fine dining restaurant on board. So if that says anything... Captain Georges and Crabby mikes are both excellent seafood buffets
It looks great. Good review but on a personal note now that I’m in my 50’s I just can’t do the buffets anymore. I will over eat and fill like crap so we chose the quality over quantities. 😊
We ate at Captain Georges and thought it was great. We live in the Western Carolina mountains where crab leg are pretty much not available so I am confident I got my money's worth on crab legs alone.
My wife and I love this place. We disagree that it is just good. It is amazing!! Salad bar is always super fresh and clean. Staff is constantly on top of keeping it well stocked. We are from Pa. and can’t wait to get back there in September!!!
I have been to this restaurant once back in June went with some friends and it's a beautiful restaurant super clean the wait staff is super nice and helpful, this is my brother's favorite place to eat hands down. I have to say there is every kind of food you would want to eat and its everywhere and plenty of desserts that are very tasty but for me I was not in love with it , I know ppl are gasping that are from there or that has eaten there I'm not saying the food is not good because it is but I'm a Rioz Brazilian steakhouse person , now if you have never been to captain George seafood buffet to eat please do it's just not for me and dont get discouraged about the long lines because I have to say you dont stand in line very long cause it moves rapid fast.
Most of the food at Captain George's Buffet is as good as any fine dining restaurant. The snow crab legs are the same anywhere, the fried scallops at Captain George's are excellent, the she-crab soup is excellent the fried oysters are excellent.
Place looks amazing.Would not know where to start.Would want to try everything.I say spend the money and live your best life. You work hard so treat yourself to a great buffet.
Being from New England, going to a seafood buffet down south never peaks my interest. However this video makes me want to visit this buffet. Awesome setup! If anyone ever comes up my way, check out the Nordic Lodge in Charlestown, RI. All you can eat lobster, crab, clams, filet mignon, etc. Much more expensive than $35 though but so worth it!
The seafood buffets in Myrtle Beach are far better than anything in New England. I used to go to New England all the time and now I only go to Myrtle Beach
Did I miss the part we he talked about prices? My family is coming to town next weekend. Ages are sometimes how buffets charge you. We have a 3yr old 6yr old 17yr old 40 and 60yr old.
3 year old will probably be around 7 bucks. 6 year old less than 15 the rest are full price less than 35 more than 30. All buffets with crab legs are about the same price. We went to Crabby George's Calabash Seafood Buffet this year I was really impressed! They have all you can eat king crab legs for $63 or the regular snow crab buffet. They don't have as many Choices as Captain George's but, what they did have was really high quality. They also had a cold bar with oysters and stone crab claws! Have a good holiday!
@@doo2443 I was just thinking if you are staying on the south side of Myrtle beach check out Sarku Hibachi Grill & Buffet. They had the best crawdads I have had at a buffet. The sushi was okay but, the buffet was 14.99 for an adult and, 6.99 for my 9 year old! It is a great place if you don't want to spend much money. Me my wife and two kids got out of there for 50 bucks with a 25% tip. Also, the service at both those buffets had great service!
We ate there a few years ago but they didn’t have anywhere near this variety. The food was not stocked, one buffet was completely empty, and what they did have was absolutely abysmal. We’ve never been back.
Living in the NC piedmont, a beach trip is special every year. I usually go to a seafood buffet restaurant every time. This year, I decided on Captain George’s because of online reviews. I’ll never go again. Really nice restaurant but food not as good as half a dozen other buffets I’ve been to. For two meals with tea and tip=$100.
We will not attend any other seafood buffet in town. We feel that Captain George's has a pleasant atmosphere and better quality food. Like you said, nothing outstanding but very good. We had a friend with us that doesn't care for seafood , he still managed to leave very full like the rest of us. They do have a nice selection of food for every person. All kinds of salads, steak, pizza etc . We think the price is fair, for the quality of everything you get.
Too expensive for me but thx for vid .. when I'm in the mood for seafood I go to Walmart but some shrimp crab legs corn on cob smoked sausage seafood seasoning dump in one big pot and enjoy
Very cool looking place. I've only been to one buffet restaurant in the Grand Strand area, Preston's, and that was years ago. I'm a little more selective on my seafood choices, and I think I'd get a better value from Golden Corral. XD
Also located in Williamsburg, Va and Virginia Beach, VA. All are great places!
I've been to Captain George's many times and find it to always be super clean and super stocked full of a variety of seafood among other foods. I've always left there satisfied. I'm going there soon, what is the crab imperial?
We’ve visited several seafood buffets in the area and Captain George’s is our favorite. Everything is good...especially the crab legs! We return every trip to Myrtle. And it’s a super fun atmosphere!
I've been going here all my life. Every time I'm in Myrtle, it's a no brainer, captain George's. Especially after a long day swimming and crabbing
Was here today with my pops 1st time every eating at a seafood buffet like this and I enjoyed it very much I ate many plates of good food. Definitely will be taking the 2 hour trip from goose Creek again.
We ate there when we were on vacation at Broadway at the beach. Insanely awesome!
I wish he would have slowly let us view the actual food as good as he rolled the camera over all the deserts
Omg i miss Myrtle Beach so much
I go to eat my weight in crab legs lol.. I really don't want anything else there. They do make some pretty good mix drinks.
Fuck South Carolina racist devil state. FLORIDA
In 3 years the price has raised almost 15 more per person.
Yep @ $35 it was a good place to eat but at $50 not so much.
Some of the food is very amazing, your opinion is just that, your opinion
I visited here..totally awesome..good service too..thats a factor for me
Love, love, love this place when I go to MB

Been here multiple times!!! Absolutely love the food and the waiters are awesome
Ate at the one in Williamsburg, VA last week.

I enjoy going to The Original Benjamins as well

how much is the buffet
Captain George's is amazing I've been going to it for like 20 years and I've never been disappointed

The one in Williamsburg VA is the best 1!!!!!!!
Been there and you are correct. I agree with you.
The fried fish & shrimp are they calabash style At Captain George’s?
This place is really good!
Wow, that's a nice looking restaurant! To be honest, this is a restaurant that looks like it's for 2 people because of the prices of it! Great video!

The Nordic Buffet is excellent but it's also like $150 a person
I think I'll put this on my list for my next stop to the Myrtle! I think my girlfriend and I would enjoy!

1:35 the prices change all the time depending on the "market price " of crab legs
@@markmiller4503 wow, thank you for all the info. You really helped me alot. U give details like a mom.
😊👍🏾🍤🍰
@@doo2443 well I basically am 🤣😂👍🏿 I'm glad it was of assistance.

You have an attitude problem, you're trying to downplay Captain George's because it's the most popular restaurant in Myrtle Beach.
Could you review Crabby Georges $65.99 King Crab Leg buffet and let us know
I believe they offer a local 10% discount
Seems like those nautical sails would accumulate a lot of dust and drift down on the food
What’s your opinion on the Giant Crab seafood restaurant
Sucks
Great review., very honest
Thank you for the video. Have you done a video on seafood restaurants in Myrtle that aren’t buffets?
We ate there a few years ago but they didn’t have anywhere near this variety. The food was not stocked, one buffet was completely empty, and what they did have was absolutely abysmal. We’ve never been back.
Same plus the crab legs where cold
Pre Covid. Gotta love it.

Cool 😀
I wonder if that's the same Capt. George's as the Capt. George's in Virginia Beach??
Yes
Also Captain George’s is the same in Williamsburg Va!
Yeah I agree for $35 most are there to eat seafood

ive been to crabby mikes after food & a tea was like 63 bucks not really worth it to me but it was an experience
Been there too. Like Crabby George's better
Spot on advise
Pirates table rocks
Do they Have Raw oysters Here
Too expensive for me but thx for vid .. when I'm in the mood for seafood I go to Walmart but some shrimp crab legs corn on cob smoked sausage seafood seasoning dump in one big pot and enjoy
I knew the seafood buffets were a bad value when I came to Myrtle the first time and saw 300 of them......
I much prefer captain George’s over Benjamin’s
Your right about Benjamin's. The food is not good. The Giant Crab is awesome. Captain George's is also awesome.
What was your idea of “duds” at Benjamin’s?
Which restaurant has the Mermaid swimming in the pool up front?
Seafood House
I ate there last year. It wasn’t good to me. No fried oysters or scallops to be found
Very cool looking place. I've only been to one buffet restaurant in the Grand Strand area, Preston's, and that was years ago. I'm a little more selective on my seafood choices, and I think I'd get a better value from Golden Corral. XD
Have you been to Medieval Times?
U running by the food to quick to see.
I have visited the restaurant several times and my thoughts are the same. Nothing spectacular to minion about the food. It's ok.
Your video is annoying with the fast video and you only concentrate on the negatives. So annoying. I was livid with this video.
Why are you calling the line a queue you're not British.
Horrible experience there! Food was bad
