@@tripndive it is! It's just a gaping hole that occasionally shakes violently.

Spot and her gang of weirdos I kept wondering what would happen to us if there were an earthquake... but I’m always “worst case scenario” 😂 ~Jenny

belizeguy Thank you! Good to know the name of that type of turtle!
We always feel like it’s a good dive when we get to see a turtle. And yes, the Abyss is pretty accurate!

@@tripndive Indeed a good sign! Hawks Bills were hunted almost to extinction as their shells were cut into Eye glasses frames. Terrible!
In 1990, Chuck and I were out on a dive off Isla Mujeres, and he spotted a large male Loggerhead. It was browsing under some rocks and did not see him at all. Maybe 15 feet deep. He dropped down slowly, and grabbed the turtle right behind the head on the shell, which of course startled him. Off he went like a shot from a gun, with Chuck on his back holding his speargun looking like something out of Mythology. That turtle wanted nothing to do with Chuck, so he headed to deeper water, pulling Chuck along. As his breath was about done, Chuck let go and gently surfaced having had the wildest ride ever. Sure wish there had been a camera, but it is forever etched in my mind as Neptune riding around the seas. We were so much younger then!! Thanks for the great video.
