I hope everyone is managing to keep their lives balanced during these times of adversity. I, along with many others, am housebound and haven’t worked my day job in a few weeks. I have gone through a few phases of feeling challenged; frustrated and sad, but more recently have had moments of acceptance and peace. These feelings will no doubt continue to undulate, but ultimately it’s just about doing the best we can, day by day. I have realised that it’s impossible for me to be militantly productive, and that concept is simply unsustainable. It took a few melt downs to realise that, and so now I’m trying to find a healthy equilibrium. I’m spending my days playing music, reading, working on my boxing and Muay Thai technique, exercising and doing yoga (Yoga for BJJ is the program I’ve been using); but also binging Netflix, hanging out with my cat and my brother, cooking and having a coff in the sun.
