Excel is very important day to day software for chemical engineering, but chemical engineers do not need to have indepth knowledge of Excel. Don't waste hours and hours to learn Excel. Instead , try to start using Excel with very basic chemical engineering calculations like calculating pump & compressor power and related things, distillation tray related basic calculation , basics of line sizing , basic controller tunning methods, mass and heat balance calculations, heat exchanger related calculations etc, and in that way everyone will enjoy the learning of Excel and then gradually go to advanced topics. The video is very informative and good.
