Hi, great video! Digital nomad here who's looking to come and spend some time in Dali soon with my partner. Hoping to get a maximum 3-month contract (but preferably month-by-month). You mentioned AirBnB, which unfortunately is no longer available in mainland China.
Would you happen to have any suggestions on where else to find short term rental options? Studio or one-bed apartment, would need a kitchen. Thanks!

@@OliBarrettTravel hey I think first using Trip.com to book short term. Once you got there you can ask around to negotiate monthly rates with guest houses that has a shared kitchen. Not so many one bedroom place with kitchen unfortunately.

Think that salad was actually coleslaw. $14 seems a little pricy for local Dali income? was a soda included?
I guess you don't have to tip 20% in China? and price already includes sales tax?
in USA it would be $20 after all said and done if menu list it at $15

$14 is a bit pricy for locals..thats why local people don't usually go to western restaurant. . And no tip is required in China. No tax required either (or included) You pay what price you see on the menu! :)
