Awwwhhhh thanks! I've got new videos planned but have been so busy with work and school have not had extra time to film. Thanks for reminding me why I love posting.
Even if you don't sew you can do a modified version by glue + stick. Try a fabric that is already embellished or a pre-made trim. There is always a way!
Beautiful Talent Love!! This tutorial was the amazing!! I was just wondering if you had sewn the final pattern down on the final step after you glued the pattern to the shoe...
Thanks! Not sure I completely understand. I basically made a cover with added stitching (to make it look authentic), then glued it down. No other steps after glue.
your tutorial was a true inspiration .in the uk q jab slidea from as little as four pound so am going to make son for our daughter.thanks for your inspiration ☺☺💓👍
Thank you for posting a comment, I'm sure you're not the only one that feels that way. It is several steps but they are totally manageable, I try to include everything you need to know so you can tackle it with confidence. If you have a question I'm here, ask me. There are a handful of other channels and for the most part all they do is glue. I don't find that challenging so I post things/ideas/projects where you can learn not just be entertained. My goal? is for people to ask you where you got that - - so you can say "I made it' and feel a sense of pride 'cuz you smashed it. Now one last thing, hands down these are my favorite shoes they feel like you are walking on clouds, I kid you not. I love them so much I'm posting another video soon - - be sure you stay tuned, this time I'm getting my Gucci game on.
Thanks! If you've never tried on a pair of Adidas slides you're in for a treat, they are the MOST comfortable slide on the planet...feels like you're walking on pillows.
😍😍😍Yes!! Your videos give me life!! I do have one question - as an experienced seamstress but someone new to leather my home machine is not cutting the mustard... what kind of machine do you use? and what do you recommend for a beginner?
I use industrial sewing machines, I have a Juki, Seiko and a Tuffman. I use them all but for different reasons, depends on the kind of project. In terms of advice? I'd ask how serious you are about your leather game?
iLoveLeatherNYC I'm ready to step my game up to the next level! Maybe even go into business!! (Speaking it into existence) I know that a great machine is an investment. Just want to make sure if I take the leap, I'll have what I need to be successful.
Thank you for checking!! Yes ma'am I still wanted to touch bases with you, I just have been working a crazy schedule! I definitely appreciate you taking the time to talk with me!
A lot of DIYers use E6000. Why do you use cement glue vs E6000? I'd like to know for my own DIY use. You're more advanced than many of them, so I need to know why it's better and in what case I shouldn't use it on fashion:clothes, shoes, leather purses. TY!
If you want something to turn out nice, you gotta put the work in. You can always buy them full price $1100 - $1350, or maybe consider "used" for a bit less? Check Ebay or the RealReal. Hope that's helpful.
You did an outstanding job on them slides. Very detailed & creative. Super cute!
Thank you...will be posting a my spin on a Gucci version soon, stay tuned!
