Hi Chris, Danke für dein Kommentar. Für die Wand ist es dann aber doch etwas sperrig ;)
Ich bin das Trike ca. 2 Jahre gefahren und in dieser Zeit hat alles top gehalten und es haben sich auch keine Risse bemerkbar gemacht. Allerdings sind die verwendeten Surfmasten nicht so sehr auf Torsionssteifigkeit ausgelegt, daher war der Rahmen bei kräftigen Treten etwas schwammig.
Nice work, looks good, appears to to ride well, but… we need details! Final weight, handling, response and more importantly, what was the final cost?
Wrong lighting conditions for a detailed look at a shiny black frame dude, inside with diffused lighting may be better.
Nice bike, especially for chain routine, so simple. Pinion gearbox is good but very expensive

You identified the weakness correctly. The used windsurfing masts are usually not designed for torsion stiffness. But it is acceptable while the body does not extremely swing sideways.
Couldn't you copyright the plans and translate into English and sell the plans and possibly a book well?

Why carbon fiber when you have electric asst .
I don't see any electric assist.
Researching now on recumbent trikes and they are so expensive, doing it yourself sounds like a wonderful project if only I had the skills to do something like this. Fantastic results, great job!

my guess is to keep the product a luxury item only the rich can enjoy or the savers can enjoy. I was the latter. I was lucky I found a used Scorpion. Best investment ever made, only 2nd to my work PC.
@@rogue-ish5713 I actually found a lightly used custom carbon trike from Performer, NOT Cantus, and Ive been enjoying it over 2 years now so I lucked out
What is the gear drive you are using? I have never seen it before.
It is an Alfine 8 speed hub. The flanges had been machined away and I mounted the sprocket to the disc brake acceptable.
@@kaik240876 why no 11speed? You can never have too much gear range on a recumbent
@@DavidG2PTo be honest, the Alfine 8 speed gear was half the price. But you are right, the range could be more wider on a recumbent because going out of the saddle uphill is not possible.
