Just in case anyone is wondering why this beautiful antique chair was covered with the high grade marine vinyl, it's because we use it as a prop (throne chair) for backdrops that are created for different events such as milestone birthday celebrations, baby showers etc. The vinyl has held up through countless events. Thanks again for watching! Blessings, 💖~RitaBCreative
Wow this is so gorgeous! Looks time consuming but I am loving the series. This is going to be so royal! Your steps look easy to follow as always. Love this my friend!

Good morning. Just purchase a throne chair 2 weeks ago unfortunately I messed up the leg and armrest there's some scratches on it. Is there a way to repay the damage. I try taking pictures of it and it looks horrible. Really bad im really hoping the damage can be repay
Good Morning Blessings Yvetha Jean! Yes absolutely, your throne chair can be repaired. If you will make the repair yourself purchase the brushes, glue adhesive, sealant and foil leaf (gold, bronze, silver) whichever matches your chair, then follow these steps... First: Lightly buff to smooth out scratched area(s). Second: Use a lint free cloth to remove all dust. Third: Apply the foil leaf per instructions. If you need help with this step you can watch (Part 3) in this series (How-To Apply Beautiful Gold Leaf) Check description box for the link. Fourth: Allow the foil leaf time to cure (drying time could take up to 3 days). Fifth: After curing, apply the clear sealant over the area and let dry. Also, after the sealant dries, I would suggest carefully applying another thin top coat of sealant over the entire chair to help blend everything as well as give it an extra layer of protection. Prayerfully this helps. Blessings, ~RitaBCreative
Hello, this chair is beautiful. I’m trying to create something similar, but I’m very very new to the process. I’m looking for vinyl fabric. I’ve watched the video and looked through the comments. I know you mentioned you used marine fabric, but if possible, could you please share the name/company you purchased the fabric from? I not sure I’m looking at the correct product. Thank you so much.
Hi @Mvblakley, Thanks so very much for watching! We actually purchased the marine vinyl about 3 years ago from a local family business that has since closed due to the pandemic. But, if you do a Google search on marine grade vinyl you should be able to locate a business near you or an online company to place an order. Marine vinyl is just a grade that is made to be used outdoors under harsh weather conditions (on boats) which can be used indoors as well. It's not too thick or stiff. We considered the wear and tear that our throne chair would receive as a photo prop that would also be used indoors/outdoors and decided to go with the marine vinyl. Prayerfully that helps. Thanks again!💕~Blessings
💞Welcome💞 @sam sal! Thank you so very MUCH, I appreciate your comment! The fabric is a marine vinyl and yes it had some stretch but not much... you can always use a heating gun or handheld blowdryer to achieve the desire stretch for your project. Thanks again! Blessings, 💖~RitaBCreative
Hi Miso Tomas, Thanks so much for watching! And you're question is not odd at all! Yes, the chair can be used for sitting and is strong enough for every day usage. Due to the fact that it is an antique some viewers are not happy that we used vinyl instead of a more expensive or "appropriate" fabric, therefore we basically added a disclaimer to explain the choice of vinyl fabric is due to it being used as a prop (decorative purposes). Thanks again, ~Blessings to you!😊
Hi @Queen D, thanks for watching! I use the Porter Cable Pneumatic Staple Gun. If interested there's a non-sponsored review on this stapler click on the playlist tab and the review is under the Best Upholstery Tools. Blessings, 💖~RitaBCreative
Hi @Tahmina Islam Thanks for watching. I made a list of everything that I used in this video and placed in the description box as well as a few links for the tools but most of the items were purchased locally, therefore I don't have any links for those items. Prayerfully the list helps. Blessings, ~RitaBCreative
The upholstery skills are great. However, the choice to gold leaf and use vinyl fabric is not authentic to the style of the Victorian style chair. Fabrics that where used during the Victorian period was velvet or brocade. A choice of fabric that would have been used in the Victorian period would make the chair look more authentic.
@Rita Love Thanks so much for watching and leaving a comment. Please see our pinned comment at the top of the list, we are very much aware of the authentic style, however, the chair was only reupholstered with the choice of fabric etc. having one goal in mind and that is to use as a party event prop along with decorative backdrops themes. Blessings, ~RitaBCreative

Hello.
Might be a bit odd question but is it strong and secure enough to also use it for a sitting or just for a decoration?
Thanks 😊
