Tom Peterson would frequently have an in-store event of some kind. My favorite was when you could get a free haircut, just like the style Tom Peterson wore. "Come in this weekend, and get your free Tom Peterson haircut. We'll have my barber in the store all weekend, and the haircut is free! Because free is a very good price!"
@@KLEARSKITHEKREEPER I'll work on that, it would be fun to see what all is in that tote. I use to go to a bunch of local shows back in those days and did some freelance photography for a couple local small music papers too, I think I still have some of them.
It would be hard not liking things about Tom Peterson. he sold me my first furniture set along with a VCR and a Microwave that lasted me like 25 years! One of my best friends worked for him. As I understand it, that first building off of Insley St. was his first store, where he started out selling Muntz TVs when TV was first taking off. Look up some of the old Muntz commercials. Old man Muntz used to do them himself and always played himself off as being crazy.
This was so fun. Tom & Gloria! Kurt miss you man. Remember where I was when I heard. Sent you a little $ today. Happy Anniversary, Happy 4th and keep making these awesome vids!! 👍
True..funny u should say that ...so the guy I interviewed explained to me where the original sign was..and I found it problem was another neighbor didn't like the fact that I was in his neighborhood or something and was following me and looking at me, so I explained to him what I was doing and he said I was sketchy and to cut loose" from his" hood..and when I noticed a baseball bat I kicked rocks outta there but I did find it and it was so cool to see, Maybe someday I can go back and see it better.
@@KLEARSKITHEKREEPER yea...I couldn't do what you do. Some folks are not "open" to vlogs. Portlands pretty unfriendly now. Last time I was at lone Fir was pretty sketch. Please becareful

Wow! Such a nostalgic trip! Tom Peterson was such an icon. Good times! I remember that trolley too! I didn't know Kurt had a Tom watch. Wow! I didn't know that little shop area was dedicated to Tom. Cool! Digging that mural tribute. Thanks buddy!
Missed You earlier Klearski, I was working. I had an evening cup before the video so I'm feeling right in there. A lot of water to keep me hydrated though. Smooth day at work, outside a slightly smashed finger, it was bleeding pretty bad but it stopped and it doesn't hurt. Peace to the chat/comment section.✌🏾🕯

I only want to the Satyricon one time and it was in 1989 the year that Kurt and Courtney met I don't know if Kurt was murdered or not I think probably not but I do know a bit about the whole Tom Peterson whose wife Gloria did not want him to buy Stereo Super Stores I read a Ann Rule not sure this was talking about Tom Peterson but this person who murder his wife sold his business to a big local appliance person I believe it was Tom Peterson who bought the stereo Super Stores which Gloria told him not to do I think Tom bought all of the inventory and this is apparently or at least this is what happened in the Ann Rule book this person had something to do with those disco floors at like Earthquake Ethel and some other dance floors in Portland So this person moved to Hawaii and took most of the inventory with him which he sold some other way not sure book was called something Musical like Every Breath You Take which was a Police song or another Rock N Roll song name I need to look this up this might make a really good murder mystery one of your shows
I was so excited when I seen Tom Peterson like 1973 at the old Albertsons at plasia 205 which took up about half of Plaza 205 on the western side Payless with the other tenant Of course I'd seen him at Portland Wrestling it used to be filmed on a delay so we went to Portland Wrestling watched it And then went home and watched ourselves on Portland Wrestling My father who was a realtor knew some of the wrestlers I think Doc Savage was a real estate broker as well as a couple some of other ones not sure but I was glad that my father told me that wrestling wasn't real Not that people don't get hurt they really did
In Every Breath You Take I believe it was the story of the person who sold to Tom Peterson his Appliance stereo store you should look at that novel that would make a really good scary Kreeper story and a lot of it happened here in Portland
I BUY THESE WATCHES. I"ve been trading in Tom Peterson memoriabilia for a few years now. The only thing I"m really interested in are the watches though. The rest of it doesn't bring much. But I give a fair price for the watches. PM me if you have or want to buy one.
