I've been subbed to Matt's channel for years, watched pretty much every video he's put up, and although I've done some glassing myself on speaker pods and sub boxes, I sure wouldn't tackle a pond. There's a huge difference in the level of skill and experience needed to go from little jobs with the average little repair kit to the amount of material that goes into a pond.

I remember when I fibreglassed my old 3000 gallon koi pond when I was 17, hardest days work I ever did. I promised myself never again 😂 pay a professional to do it 😆 well done James! Looks Banging!

It looks the dogs bro, and I can tell your happy, I would be too... strengthening your opinion on fiberglassing I did my own as it was through lockdown last year, I pulled it off but it cost me on the resin and flow coat I wasted, 3 attempts to flowcoat my 1 pond, the sanding was awful, I would never do it again, I'd rather pay a professional, Matt has set the standard tho, if I move to Devon I hope he will travel for me if I need him too because my next pond will be my ultimate pond and my opinion Matt is the only guy to glass anyone's ultimate pond. Looking forward to the finished pond full of the wet stuff. Av a good week bro 👍👊

James your pond will be amazing when it's completed, it's given me some inspiration about up grading my own pond, your doing a cracking job mate. Matt did an amazing job on the fiber glassing, also can't wait to see the window going in and filters etc.
Helped fiberglass a pond at a job years ago, the old fella doing it explained to me in his words "when you feel your nuts go numb from the gases off the resin get out the pond sharpish" Pretty sensible piece of advice in every walk of life i reckon lol

Watched every single episode of this build James, you’re enthusiasm and attention to detail on the build has been truly amazing. For a DIY,r you have certainly built a stunning pond and it’s not finished yet. I also watch Matt’s videos and yes he makes it look easy, but that is where years of learning and honing your skills and professionalism pays off ,worth every penny to have it done right first time.

Cracking job guys - I’ve watched James videos for years and seeing this pond come together has been great. I went on a similar DYI journey with mine and I know just how hard it really is - I also got a pro in to fibre glass though! You should be proud of what you’ve achieved James - wait until it’s setup and you’re sat in front of it with a beer in hand watching the fish in that window, it’s class 👌🏻 😁👍🏻🍻
