In the past 6 months, I have purchased 3 Holosun products that were defecyive. Is it just me or did the Holosun center dot not look very round in shape? 2:52 Also dumb question, but I've been researching red dots for a bit and have yet to find a straight answer. But since there is only one point of aim, does this eliminate the need for proper sight picture or if you are off at an angle, will the round still go wherever the dot is pointed?
The dot is actually a chevron, so it's not round ;) From what I understand, what you are referring to is parallax. Most red dot sights have a slightly concave lens that allows the user to view the target at a slightly off-center angle and still have the reticle on the correct point of aim. Basic red dot sights such as the Holosun models simply project a light onto a reflective lens. The light then bounces into your eye, and you see it as a red dot. Holographic sights involve a bunch of mirrors that bounce the light onto a holographic window, might be a bit different.
Note, this Optic is not made to be mounted on a open gun as my 2011 sti. Im my case i can only zero the dot at 7 yards. At 25 yards i shoot about 11 inches to high and the knob is in the bottom. So i suppose its made for direct mount on slide. 😔

Why does the circle ⭕️ look smaller on yours than what I’ve seen on other reviews? Isn’t it supposed to be outside the field of view once you get centered on the chevron? Is it showing the full circle because of the distance from your camera?
Yes, the circle is supposed to be out of view if you are aiming properly, but the camera at close up distance was able to capture the ring to show you what it looks like. But in a proper aim scenario, you would not see the ring.

What is the best solution for when batteries are no longer available? In a couple scenarios I can think of, I wouldn't want to be dependent on electronics.
Hmmm, this works totally opposite as how I thought it did.... I thought the outer circle was calculated to be shown OUTSIDE of the viewing window to help guide the shooter in the right direction when finding their center point of aim/impact.
It is, you can only see the circle because of the video angle and distance. The circle is meant to 'not be viewed' during aiming, meaning if you see it, you are a bit off of center.
@@lastcounterforce7946 okay cool, I thought that was how it worked. That's crazy that you're able to capture the entire circle on camera because I thought that if you had the chevron centered then the circle wasn't even visible, hell I thought the circle wasn't even possible to fully see at one time, especially with how the products advertised and displayed in the product manual. I have a holosun 507c x2 that's been beat to hell and back and still keeps perfect zero. 5k rounds and still running off stock battery.
Don't know if you're just holding the site too close to the camera but the large ring should be just outside of your field of view with pistol in proper presentation.

Yes, the circle is supposed to be out of view if you are aiming properly, but the camera at close up distance was able to capture the ring to show you what it looks like. But in a proper aim scenario, you would not see the ring.
@@lastcounterforce7946 ah I thought so. I have the first generation 507c with the green “Eotech style” circle/dot reticle that I’m going to mount on my Rock Island Armory VR80 shotgun. I want to get the new 507c with the green ACSS Vulcan reticle for my pistols. This was a nice short and sweet overview video, much love from Texas!
@@lucasblanchard47 awesome, thanks!
does this fit a standard RMR cut
So the x2 has the circle around the dot?
I been looking for that optic but everywhere I find it has it back ordered until like may. Do you know a place that has them in stock without the long wait?
Did you try Primary Arms? When we ordered ours, it said back ordered but arrived in a week or so!
@@lastcounterforce7946 yes I did. Primary arms is the only site where I was able to find it and yes it says you can order but it's back ordered until April 😔
Ordered mine at Academy store. Says holosun hs507c-x2, so hopefully its the right one.

Make sure it’s the 507C X2 ACSS Vulcan (chevron)
Different than the 507C X2 which is a circle and a round dot
The chevron tip is like a triangle or upside down V. Your aim point is the top of the chevron which gives you a finer aim point than a round circle

And blocks your view at longer distances.
HOLOSUN! I wouldn't buy any other brands. Simply the Best Red Optic. But, don't take my word for it. I will be mounting the HOLOSUN 507C X2 to my Arex Delta Gen2. Anything else would be Uncivilized!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍💯💯
That would look nice!
@@lastcounterforce7946 I agree! Thank you. My Gen2 Arex Delta Model L (4.5 inch, 17 and 19 rounds magazines respectively. It just came in to my FFL. I can't wait to pick it up and shoot it. 😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯
What's the difference between that and the 507c x1?
What is the best solution for when batteries are no longer available? In a couple scenarios I can think of, I wouldn't want to be dependent on electronics.
I assume you would use your iron sights, which you can see through the glass, if your electronics failed.
great, informative video. SUBBED!
Music is a little loud.
I have a CORE with the RMR cut. Does this work with the RMR cut?
Can you mount this on a revolver?
@@KeterMalkuth I see, so it's field of view oriented per length of pull, ty!
Would be nice for a offset dot on my ar
I've seen a few do the 45 degree offset with this. Looks nice, but the circle might not be as useful. See the follow-up review we just did.
Don't know if you're just holding the site too close to the camera but the large ring should be just outside of your field of view with pistol in proper presentation.
Yes that is correct, we held it there just to show the circle, but in proper form you shouldn't have the circle in view.
I think I’m going to go with the 507C Green Dot
How’d it turn out?
Will this fit right out the box and of the handguns
Glock 19x
Sig m18
Sig m17
Sig p320 x-compact
Does this fit in the Jericho Enhanced
