Surface-to-air missile (SAM) is a missile designed to be launched from the ground to destroy aircraft or other missiles.
The C-RAM/Phalanx CIWS (Counter-Rocket Artillery Mortar) system and CIWS (Close In Weapon System) use a 20mm gatling cannon to destroy incoming targets.

The C-RAM is easy to evade in a jet, C-Ram is used to take blow up explosives before they hit the ground. The only thing he is gonna struggle with are those Sams.
@@Draagenn ehhh...yes and no. A c-ram can track and destroy missiles at much higher speeds than an attack run in a fighter. The fighter can maneuver more but one or two hits would be plenty to send a bird back home at the very least. It scored a LOT of hits on the aircraft...several of which would have put 20x120mm explosive rounds right through the canopy.
@@94XJ but you are missing the major fact that C-RAMS rounds burn out over 2000 meters, either on impact on the missile, or through tracer burnout. All the jet has to do is keep a distance of 2km, so considering the fact that jets can target up to a potential range of (depending on the aircraft and ammo type) 160km, i am 100% sure that no trained jet pilot would have any problem with a cram.
The stream of bullets especially at night look so beautiful, it's one of the best things about this thing. Truly my favorite Military Weapon System of this decade.

After awhile I'm like damn man those are a lot of bullets they have an impossible number to ever make, that's not right Jesus (staring in aww of the nonstop continuous fire). And it seemed too calm of an evening or night and I'm thinking where even is this? And then I realized.

What's that spectator camera style you have in this video? I see it a lot in other ArmA 3 videos and I'm wondering what in-game tool it is that allows you to get those kinds of spectator shots and move the camera around with no HUD.

Every time the fighter gets hit we can see it light up from ricochets and it seems to have unlimited flares and supreme armor..
I didn't notice the ricochets, that's so cool.
I know the Arma engine has always been sort of lackluster, but the engine really has some penitential to render some beautiful scenes.
This is just a Daily Training Exercise for the Pilots.

You know that 20 mm Gatling Gun, is what F-16 and Other Fighter Jet Use to Obliterate Plane Right
@man F14 would be killed easy by that, especially all those engine shots. There is no armor on that plane that can stand those rounds

I truly hope the weapon is not that ineffective in real life. Those rounds probably cost like $1200 each...
About $27 each, and it's infinitely more effective in real life.

1 irl planes don’t just eat bullets and live.
Second idk what the missiles were doing. They did everything but proxy (flares wouldn’t have made a difference)
Third this game only includes acceleration when it comes to calculating lead. Irl they start to use jerk which allows the ciws to hit targets that are turning.
4th jets dont turn like that period.
Please calculate and share the values of precision, accuracy and recall of the bullets fired.
Even though it kept on firing thousands of bullets.. It was unable to down that jet.. 🥲.. I Wanna see how S400 works at this situation 😌😵💥🔥
