Not really, is heavily implied that Ky just lets him win because that's what he would want

@@Ratanuki I mean, sort of? In the afterstory of Rev 2, Ky initially said that he pretty much did go all out on their past duels, and that Sol was the one sandbagging. It wasn't until Sol told about how he witnessed how brutal and efficient Ky was during the Crusades, and how scared shitless he was during their first duel because he thought that Ky found out that he was a Gear, and was out to kill him as such. It's was Ky who was really sandbagging the whole time because he was dueling out of sportsman and training, there really wasn't any need to use the basic Holy Order techniques for such a duel in the first place.
