Jane H commenting ….. Elvis at 21 years old. Oh my goodness, he was so beautiful. I would normally use handsome for a man, but Elvis was beautiful. And he did something no-one else had ever done before …. He moved/danced about while he was singing. He had actually hit fame almost three years prior to this. He was doing a screen test for his forthcoming movies, because they needed to make sure he was going to look as good on the big screen as he did off it. Elvis had everything. The looks. The talent. The body. The moves. The energy. The charisma. The personality. And that Southern charm. Becoming a fan of yours too. Enjoying your Reactions.
It’s always funny to think about how he just taught himself how to play the instruments he played throughout his life and never had any musical training at all bro was a legend
This is Elvis's screen test for his movies They wanted to see how good he would look on the big screen And if you notice His hair is not dyed black yet That is his natural color And also the guitar he is playing is a prop It doesn't have any strings This is Elvis at his best
Although I always have to point out that it is the kind of guitar thing that he absolutely could play and did play in a normal band setting. His guitar player Scotty Moore from the early days, along with his drummer DJ Fontana and stand-up bass player Bill Black, were all so damn good and they were so tight.
… There are singers who are... just mediocre, then those who are good, and then the singers who are very good! ...And then there's ELVIS, the FIRST and BEST singer of all time!! ... He was voted singer of the century in 1999!! A millennium singer for ETERNITY and still UNREACHABLE today!! … ✨💎✨🕺🏻🕯
My favourites ( at the moment) are RUN ON, CLEAN UP YOUR OWN BACKJARD, CHANGE OF HABIT, THAT'S WHEN YOUR HEARTACHES BEGIN... You can see young Elvis on the Ed Sullivan or Milton Berle Show. I would love to see one of these: -Trouble - Dixieland Rock - King Kreole - Viva Las Vegas - Change of Habit Thank you for playing him on your channel again! Enjoyed it!💚🌞
. . ⛓REACTION REQUEST: . . “Jailhouse Rock” dance scene from the original film, 1957. . ✨his leg and hip work is stunning, leave you breathless . .he’s just so damn sexy, fact➖
I recommend to reacting to the Elvis song trouble. There's 2 versions. There's the original by Elvis from 1958 but there was version which is Austin Butlers cover of it which is very popular
There's some pretty good footage of him early on, check out Elvis and his band on a television appearance doing Hound Dog. Really the way to do it is to first watch the one from June of 1956 on the Milton Berle Variety Show where he kept it going at the end and slowed it down to half time and it kind of became a burlesque and it set off a huge controversy. But none-the-less Ed Sullivan had him on twice later that year and the second time, late in the year, he did probably the most famous television performance of Hound Dog, although it was a bit more pulled back from the one back in June of 1956.

You said you were interested in a younger Elvis, well this is the shocking video that introduces Elvis to the world. The performance of Hound Dog that shocked the world was on June 5, 1956 The Milton Berle. This was before Ed Sullivan Show. This was the first time we ever saw a white man sing and move to the music. In those days everyone just swung their arms for sawed their body, but they didn’t move their feet or hips. Elvis also sung with such passion and energy. He really wasn’t a trained dancer per say he just moved his body to the music. That was unheard of then. Many of those video have edited out his feet and leg movements and sometime part of the whole song. Below is an unedited full version of Hound Dog, that shocking day. th-cam.com/video/WJnVQDA9rHA/w-d-xo.html
You should react to Blue Suede Shoes from the 68 special. Also the opening number, "Trouble/Guitar Man. "Lawdy, Miss Clawdy," and "Trying To Get To You " from the same 68 Special. Thanks for this one. ❤️❤️❤️
The guitar has no strings, because this was part of an audition for his movie career. Movies were in both black&white and color back then. His 1st, 3rd and 4th movie were the only ones in black&white.
A black person may have sung this too - but the songwriter and the original singer/writer is Carl Perkins, a very much white man from Tennessee (and part of the 'impro collections of songs" by 'The Million Dollar Quartet'': Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins)

Wonderful Elvis can’t get enough
In the Getto was favorite cause it speaks to truth
This performance was made as a trial for his Hollywood Film Contract.
he was about your age at the time.. just beginning his amazing journey ..
Two of the best young Elvis live are "ready Teady" and "Hound dog" (make sure Hound dog is the uncut version from Milton Bearle show !!
The Goat! love your reaction! Thank for keeping Elvis alive! More please
It’s always funny to think about how he just taught himself how to play the instruments he played throughout his life and never had any musical training at all bro was a legend
The Legends Don't Need training! They feel it in their SOUL!

This was a screen test for a movie that's why it's just him without his band...
This is his screen test ,to star in his first movie ,watch him do this song on the Milton Berle Show ,he really shakes it up on that show
You should check out some live TV shows that he did. They were Ed Sullivan, Steve Allen, and Milton Berle shows.

Neat stuff,,, This was a screen test for the movies. His hair was still blond here, before he dyed it jet black...
My favourites ( at the moment) are RUN ON, CLEAN UP YOUR OWN BACKJARD, CHANGE OF HABIT, THAT'S WHEN YOUR HEARTACHES BEGIN...

This is Elvis trying out for the movies...it's a screen test.❤
Movie companies wanted to put ELVIS in movies & this was his screen test. Notice there's no strings on his guitar.

Audio is from 1960 recording for G.I. Blues soundtrack. Video is from his screentest, where he mimed to his own 1956 recording of the same song.
You should react to Blue Suede Shoes from the 68 special. Also the opening number, "Trouble/Guitar Man. "Lawdy, Miss Clawdy," and "Trying To Get To You " from the same 68 Special. Thanks for this one. ❤️❤️❤️
No! 56' Is the Best!👍
🔥🔥❤️❤️

This is movie screen test - if you look close theres no strings on the guitar it was just to see how he looked on stage
Lip singing and no strings on the guitar . All to see how he would look in front of a camera
guitar skills/ guitar solo💀
there are no guitar strings on that guitar
i can't remember my "favorites"....tf!?!?!?
lol couldn't remember the name on the spot😂
You do know that was a song by a black person
Carl Perkins wasn't black. Like Elvis, he grew up working alongside blacks.
No it was a song by Carl Perkins I believe.
FAKE AUDIO! This audio is from 60'👎 Understand?
Why are you reacting to Elvis? I dont think, you like him 😂
why'd u think that?😂
