...unless the apple falls on a comet in flight ... never assume or predict... Cinematography can distract from but never overcome the power of the writing. This was well told.

Great writing. I love the analogy of the mercury plains. A heavy liquid that you can see yourself in that causes madness and death. It's said that Nostradamus gazed into a plate filled with it when he was writing his prophecies.

I watched it all. Skilfull performances and clever script in parts and Eastwood and the other main character gave worthy performances. I can see that the film aimed high, so I gave the makers my respects and watched it all. A worthy attempt to make a film that is entertaining but says something about the travaills of life.

Scott Eastwood has some talent and may have more to come if he gets a chance or two.
He may be at a disadvantage because he is not a minority in that industry today though.

25 mins in and that's enough.
Outstanding camera work, interesting script, realistic, gritty location. Good music, sound effects, special effects, stunts. Great deliveries, some boss action. Gripping and entertaining. Pacing is a little slow, so kicking up playback speed to 1.25 helped.

You can't mistake the Eastwood profile! Rather slow, tense in places, but with an unexpected twist at the end. Hints of Die Hard, with the white teeshirt, and Jack Reacher in the clothing store!

Started off okay but the ending was a bit of a mess. Why would he go home when he had a load of money could have gone anywhere, does not make a lot of sense to me.
