    strictly speaking it’s illegal to take photos in any commercial port in most countries, it just rarely gets enforced. It comes under spying laws as most commercial ports traditionally were military.

      You are 100% correct as at all uk ports there are signs everywhere saying no photography!

    I got fined for speeding last year 150 dirham, which is about £12, was shown my speed on the radar camera and given an official receipt for the money I paid so all seemed above board, much cheaper and less hassle when I was caught in the uk

    • @Touringwiththekids
      @Touringwiththekids  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All sounds fair and official! Alot more complex in the UK

      The speeding fine in Morocco is not fixed to 150 Dirham. It all depends on how far you overspeed. So it could be more

    Regarding the speeding fines, bear in mind that travelling by car or motor-caravan is very different from going on a motorcycle (my experience) in a group of ten bikes - we were not stopped one single time; as you have correctly mentioned there are police checkpoints at the entrance and exit of every town and village. It was suggested to me that motorcycles do not fall foul of the speed cameras because we only have a number plate at the back. In any case we were waved through every time by a smiling policeman.

      @@mavisgetsaboutDon't expect nice weather that time of the year. I was there on the motorbike during the last week of March and the weather broke on the Friday and Saturday, the last 700K were done under very wet conditions. In December you can expect it to be worse. If you want to go up into the Atlas mountains, Agoudal area, you may find heavy snow falls and sub-zero temperatures.
      In September it should be great.

    Good video. There are many places in the UK where you are not allowed to film either like some railway station, airports sea and ferry ports but in many cases it is the just the overzealous security staff that doesn't want people to film.
    I lost count on the number of times i travelled between Dover and Calais and I always film once I'm through passport control but on one occasion |i got very rudely barked at at at check-in and the geezer told me it is illegal to film which, of course, was nonsense.

    I have had severall interactions with Moroccan police, and found them to be very polite and fair. One time we were stopped for speeding 65 kph in a 40 kph limit. I apologised (in French) and expressed my surprise at how low the limit in towns were. He showed me the sign for the end of the town showing the speed limit. He accepted my apology and sent us on our way with no fine. As we left he saluted us.

    When you mention fruit and Vegetables in Morocco,They use a lot of Chemicals, We live in Spain and there is a big issue with Local markets selling fruit and veg from Moroccan stalls.They do not have the same quality control.

      Spanish farmers are creating all sorts of excuses to defame Moroccan veggies and fruits as they can no longer compete. Even European farmers themselves can't stand each other and resort to rude behaviours towards each other's products

    You go abroad to another country "BE PREPARED" do not think you have rights you don't. Dont think you have a common sense attitude you don't. Dont think that being nice is going to help it wont or even be balshy that wont either. Read up on your country does and don't they will probably warn you of these. If you come across as a now it all it will be worse.

    The police are corrupt. One police officer put a stop sign in the road in the middle of nowhere then stood in the road 50m behind it. So everybody assumes this is check point and stop at the officer instead of the sign. He then tries to fine you for not stopping at the stop sign. Also there are countless youtubers documenting how they've been scammed, robbed and accosted in morroco, including me. Please do your research before claim it's safe.

      We are speaking from our own experience of Morocco, from the 3 months that we spent there. We aren't going to sit here and say it's not safe based on other peoples experiences. 👍

      As an old European lorry driver, sailed weekly on ferries for the best part of 45 years, I know it a Ship, but we always referred to amongst us drivers as catching 'the boat' never catching the ship or Ferry 😉
