This is the technique i use for my digital paintings as well!, although i paint more than i photobash, which takes a lot of time but gives cool results! More cartooney i guess. The way you do it is impressive and i loved seeing your process, it opened up my perspective on things i can do to better my own work, while also gaining a lot of respect for yours. What is the legality of Photobashing. Like I know if you do it right, it isn't illegal and is a completely valid work flow but I don't know what those requirements are n such. Do you mind clarifying? Also, I love your work, it's spectacular!!
I'm one year late, but in case you never got an answer: There is no right or wrong when it comes to art. You *cannot* , under any circumstances, have an " *incorrect* " workflow. Do whatever you want, do whatever you like. If you feel like doing everything in photoshop, do it! If you want to use 10 other programs as well, do so! Even *if* you're trying to get into the industry, a company rarely cares about your workflow, they just want to see your art! You're a concept/environment artist, that's going to be used as reference, not to do any derivative works.
