    Awesome, thank you for the Model 3 how to guide.
    It's time to pull the trigger and place my order.
    I definitely listen to my audio loud and the Alpine will match the rest of my speakers in my 3 preformance.

    How many watts do you think the 16V system can handle before a second battery is needed? do you think it could handle 800-1200 watts?

      We've talked to many manufactuers of car audio products and the ones that do make kits for Teslas say under 50amp of current.

    Anybody know if you removed the factory sub/amp and built an aftermarket amp rack in that location if there would be any error codes? Assuming maybe the computer would recognize the factory amp/sub not hooked up?

      Yeah this will work you'll have to tap the signal from the door subs then just like in this video.... the colors of the wiring will be different so you'll have to look it up or take the door off and conduct a continuity test from the door to the harness behind the kick panel

    I think you got it reversed, you should’ve used the dc/dc converter connection i.e. connection under the seat.
    If the computer detects higher draw from the 12 volt or 16 volt battery in the frunk it will go in limp mode.
    I’ve installed a sub on my ‘23 model y and used the connection under the seat.
    NVX also has a TH-cam video for installing sub on model y.

    • @MadmaxMusic93
      @MadmaxMusic93 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely WRONG, newer 16 volt batteries its crucial to connect the LV battery NOT the HV battery under the seat tried it it does not work under the seat. Been 3 weeks it’s been working beautifully no issues at all no range loss either. So do your research more before informing people what you think. Thanks

      So we are learning these cars as we go along but I’ve had our shop model Y amp connected on the battery up front since January with no issues. We’ve also done several Teslas at our shop with no issues either. NOW the guys from Alpine were in my shop last week and we talked about this subject and they use the under the seat connection for their amp. I expressed my concern since I’ve heard from a few customers and Also from the guys over at Mosconi that they had issues with the car going into limp mode when using the under seat connection. They said as long as you’re not pulling too much current then it will be fine…. Now I’m not sure if this is true or not but we are almost 5 months strong selling out bass kits including the one we sold Madmaxmusic93 so we will continue to recommend using the battery under to frunk instead of under the seat until proven otherwise.

    I like this but I feel like it’s not going to be enough bass. If I were to do two of these boxes would I need an extra battery? I’m not concerned about losing mileage. I’m just concerned about killing the battery when the bass hits. You should do more videos dealing with teslas. Not a lot out there. Only videos about swapping out stock interior speakers.

    I've been looking for something like this. I have a 2023 SR+ (No sub) and I added the wiring to "activate" the pillar speakers... The wiring harness actually came with the rear deck activation as well but I do not have any rear deck speakers on the 2023. I was wondering if I could use that as my signal to an amp instead. What's the easiest way to test if those cables are sending speaker signal/power? TBH I'll end up getting this kit but eventually creating a box for the side (where you mounted the amp) cause its just a huge waist of space for people without the stock sub. Is that something you might consider making in the future or is that something you might do as a one off?

    • @BreakersStereo
      @BreakersStereo  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Which wires? Where are they in the car?

    • @crilton
      @crilton 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You might be better off using one of those speaker activation kits and grabbing the rear wiring and tapping off that. I think the wiring you are looking at cannot be used because he bridged the amp and the "extra" 2 speaker cables cannot be used when bridged. Forgive me if those are not the wires you are talking about. You could also add one of those micro amps to power the rears. Maybe consider some sort of pre signal hi/lo device to make it easier if you go that route. Like a Audiocontrol line converter.
