I like the expression “Clear mind” in tip two. I’d add one more. Rehearse your mental game odd the lanes. Sit in a chair or lie down and visualize yourself executing various shots successfully. Picture that release and the ball rolling into the pocket for a strike. Picture targeting and making the ten pin. Train you brain.
I do about 80% of these. I would rephrase #2 into a positive statement like ‘Limit your thinking to just a few things’. I disagree somewhat with #3. At a certain level, like bowling on sport patterns, it pays to observe the bowlers around you. What part of the lane are they playing, what kind of balls are they using. The hard part is to do it without thinking about the other person’s score. Personally I don’t worry about technique when competing. i assume my body is going to do what the same thing next frame and adjust my line or change balls accordingly.
Stop taking the game so seriously and have fun. In the end, it's just a game.

That preshot routine is very important for me. If i have to stand up there for a long time waiting I usually throw it like crap
