I am so happy for this family union Mr Wang Qi. We as a general public we never knew about this until it came out in the newspaper and TV very recently. We don't know the policy and procedure of the government but humanity comes first and there should be new policy and procedures for cases like this. It took him so many year which is sad. But now I am very happy to see this happening at last. God bless him and all those who helped him in India and China.
He has a family too you know. An Indian wife, with many Indian-Chinese kids, who are completely Indian. So far I've heard he's staying, and his Indian family has to stay there too. Kind of selfish, don't you think? Besides the 8 years of prison (back in the old day, it was normal), he's had a normal life in India. If India is really that bad then sure, go, but really, I think this is overblown...
Respected Soldier, you have lost the golden years of your life, but your will power kept you going. Accept this as fate and now live your life to the fullest with your near and dear ones. You have plenty of bedtime stories to share with your children and grand children. Hearty wishes from India ❤️
God bless you and your wonderful families Mr Wang Qi. I am so very happy for you and may your life continually be blessed. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.

As a south indian tamil, tamil and Chinese have good relation from olden days, and as I was studied in China, Chinese culture is far more better than western, due to different ideologies in the recent past of two countries and the race of becoming non-white asian superpower made this two countries to turn against each other.
It's really heart touching to see the family reuniting moment. So much love and salute to you from India. He is an honest military man and deserves great honour from the Chinese govt as well. Thank you ❤
Sorry but it’s not Indian government’s humanity. When they put in prison, after those 7 years, they suppose to send him to china, shouldn’t sent him to a village in MP. Just imagine if China sent you some where in Chinese village, how do you feel. Totally different world for a strange person. I am also an Indian always proud to be an Indian. But in this case I feel sorry.
it's not Indian culture to treat a soldier like that even if he is enemy. We were taught in our childhood to respect every soldiers,b ut what's this! *I feel sorry for this man and specially for her mother.* This should not have happend, this shouldn't have happen. 😔
Subhashis Chowdhury I understand your feelings but we had complicated relationship with Chinese. and in that situation if we had sent him in China he could be in problems with Chinese government as they will take him an indian agent. And yes, indian government should have managed him atleast a good life. even we have 4 wars with Pakistan but still today we respectfully sent back the Pakistani those who mistakenly enters India. then why don't we didi with this Chinese.
Rohit Maity ya that what I'm saying. we sent back 90k pakistani troops back. we do respect all soldiers. But 1 misdeed relates to many more life's. if he was married before then his whole family would have been affected like his mother. I don't want to imagine what a mother had to go through. My father had to leave East pakistan due to genocide when he was 6yrs old leaving my Grandma behind. she died within 4 months due to her loss. The same might have happened to his mom too.😢 *But finally he is alive and well to see his home and family again. that's the relief*
This is our culture we gave love n respect to ur soldier and treated him like our citizen If our soldier was in China he would be killed ,look at ur people his son ,daughter in law, grandson hv also come with him but ur people are neither asking them nor respecting them
My question to the Chinese authority. Why didn't they try to get him back earlier? Was Wang considered as a deserter by the Chinese? Chinese government met Indian leaders on international stage so many times, I should have inquired Wang's where about. The Chinese government have failed Wang badly on this.
@Ranbir Deb The world knows how unhygienic and dirty India is. Almost all videos of India have dirty garbage, rotten garbage in streets with dirty rivers , everything dirty. Oh almost forgot and smelly people.
Correct Your description he was not held for 54 years. Infect we Indians knew he was in Chinese military and tn also married a daughter of our land and allowed him to have a dignified life. And on the contrary none of the Indian captured by Chinese as pow ot taken a back never returned! It’s absurd. Why would it take decades for the denial of travel? Why was he put into prison for 7 years and then exiled into remote area? Even prisoner of war was not treated this way, why should he be treated this way?
@@H-so3ms He strayed from his post and accidentally crossed to the Indian Border. The thing is that Indo- Chinese border is not properly demarcated and it's not known which point this soldier was captured. Similarly, the Chinese authorities refused to accept him because they too did not know at which point he was captured, as some areas were claimed by both India and China, and accepting him might be a diplomatic shame for the authorities. From the Indian side too, it was complicated. The soldier was captured in 1963 just a few months after the Indo -Chinese war ended, but no treaty was signed as tensions were then still high. So technically he is not a POW and at the same time, as he is in uniform, he is not a spy either. So the Indians had to set him free in India, but cannot send him back to his own country due to diplomatic tussles.
Pure love on his reunion. But... no mention of India, which returned a China POW (prisoner of war) safely back. He married an Indian, as he was not recognised by China. The 5 decade delay is because the Chinese did not acknowledge their soldier being captured by India. The same happened in Galwan.
