I'd image him as someone who lives like its the same day over and over again, much to everyone's annoyance. Plus, I'd have him voice by Bill Murray for extra comedic effect.

But also because of the way they set him up as a guardian of hope and spring. Nobody ever explained him to me that way before. Now I see he deserves a lot more credit for bringing kids something more subtle and meaningful than just toys.

Several details I noticed during the loss of belief scene for Bunny, starting out when I went through the part right as the kid walks through Bunny, if you watch that scene carefully where the kid's head goes through Bunny, if, If, Bunny's heart is around the same area in the chest as a human's that must have been a very cold feeling that phased right through Bunny's heart as the child walked through him. And as the camera pans around Bunny and he says "They don't see me." All the vibrant colors on Bunny fade to grey hue like his fur. His green eyes seem to lose their color, his nose, his bandolier goes grey and even the egg he holds seems to dim in color as he curls in on himself. Very subtle details. I wish DreamWorks would abandoned their most current movies like Trolls and Boss Baby and get back to movies like this one, ones full of detail and beauty not only in color but in characters. Ones that don't hash out recycled music to entertain just the younger audience. HttyD, Kung Fu Panda, RotG and Croods were the last Great, Spectacular movies DreamWorks made before they fell into the cash grab pit with movies and series and sagas like Boss Baby and Trolls.

Pitch massacured every warrior, leaving Bunnymund as the last Pooka in the world. Dreamworks, give us a film or a spinoff series that can flush out Bunnymund's character as well as explain what happened to his race and family. It could be small flashbacks kinda like GOTG Vol. 3 while leading up to the big Order 66 type moment.
