I'm glad to be able to say that I live five miles from him, he is a great guy and never acts too good to talk to you.. His kids play softball in the same fields as my son, he acts like a normal everyday man..
Now that's real country music!. Honest...with a bad ass beat! Chris is a great poet and philosopher. I like the last line when he admits the crime. That's the epitome of great writing and literature. Bad ass song!
Chris Knight came out during the alt country boom of the MID to late'90's . The anti Garth,so to speak . He is still going strong today . His music is timeless .
Saw this guy this past weekend in Atlanta at Smith's Olde Bar! GREAT CONCERT. I was with good friends and had a kick ass time. My wife and I will go see this guy again DEFINITELY.
Saw Chris perform at the WV State Fair last night and as always, he executed his usual stellar, intense performance. No frills...….just songs from the heart. Great musicians and acoustics for the whole show, playing nearly two hours non-stop to a welcoming yet sparse crowd. Framed and Cry Lonely are two of his greatest songs.....a little more upbeat but, actually, everything he has written and sings tells a story, typically based on true life experiences by either himself or others he would know. Chris is an artist who performs more for the fan interaction, rather than the $'s.
I’ve loved Chris Knight ever since my uncle introduced me to his music while I was 16 working at his collegiate sports store in Atlanta. At the time I didn’t care for much country besides Cash and a few others. I loved Chris’ music from the beginning and is one of the reasons I make country music today. My favs are Enough Rope and Blame Me.
Saw him one time in my hometown, he was sitting at the bar next to medrinking i left and went the venue across the street, 5 minutes later he walks through side door picks up his guitar and starts singing no itroduction came straight out the bar to the stage.lol
It's really a shame that artists like Chris Knight who sing legitimate songs will probably never make it big because they haven't conformed to pop country ....... But that just makes this man even more badass ..... keep on rockin brotha
He’s got one of the largest underground country music followings of anyone. He also wrote songs for much more famous yet less talented musicians. I’m sure he’s super proud of what he’s accomplished considering he didn’t even start writing songs until he was mid-30s. I’m sure he’s comfortable sitting on 1/2 mil.
Bobby Peacock's "300 Best Country Songs of the 90s" list on Farce the Music brought me here. Knight just SELLS this tune with some serious grit. I should've gotten the tip years ago.
laid up here in east ky. wondering why i havent heard of chris? but glad he made it out epa has killed the soul . and now they shut the prison down but by god riding it out till they move me to the box
While I'm sure he would do a fantastic job, there are some things that just should not be be done. It would be like Waylon covering ring of fire. It never happened nor should Chris knight cover the road goes on forever.
@@PerroChowChow Thanks for the addition. By now I have found it, it turns out the song is 'hidden' in my country. Once I switched my VPN to USA, I was able to find it, and add it to playlists. After switching the VPN back to my country, it will still keep playing. Don't know why some songs are hidden; I do know this is also the case for some Reba and Hunter Hayes songs.
Love this song kinda lived the lyrics but man chris is a good guy I like this one and down the river that one shows loyalty between brothers even after death

"Even if I did 🔫 him down... I WAS FRAMED!" 😂😂😂 I still love that line.
That's one of those lines that took my breath away when I first heard it.
Super cool I'd love to meet him some day

He’s So Talented
@@darrylammons4446 You are so right.
I was only a kid when he used to sing country music. I wonder if he still does.
Love this song. Chris Knight is an awesome storyteller, right up there with old Hank Sr. and Charlie Daniels.
He sure is.
Just needs 4 chords to tell it as well. Too raw
Outlaw country and it's not going away thank God
Ahh the back road hunting we did listening to Chris in 2005 could set a record.
I've been looking for this song for so many years was one of my favorites brings back lots of drinking memories with old friends thanks for this
Saw him one time in my hometown, he was sitting at the bar next to medrinking i left and went the venue across the street, 5 minutes later he walks through side door picks up his guitar and starts singing no itroduction came straight out the bar to the stage.lol
You sure are so lucky you got to see him in your hometown.

@@isaacsmith4864 yeah so true.
I've thought of this song on and off again over the years and it never occurred to me to just look it up on TH-cam till today. Great song!

Amazing song and one I keep coming back too...GOD BLESS EVERYONE ¡¡¡☆☆☆❤❤❤

One of Countrys most Underated Artist! There a few songs that should be a hit.
Love Chris. He is very good live.

Great live performer - genuine lyrics - no bull shit.
The ORIGINAL “It Wasn’t Me”. Eat your heart out, Shaggy 😎
These commercials are really a bad idea. Love Chris Knight. One of the best storytellers I've ever heard...
Best singer/songwriter ever!!
One of the best there is out there!

I met Chris after a show in Chattanooga. First row seats at an excellent show. Classy guy who took time for fans.
Yes, just saw him last week in Brenham TX!! Awesome show
the man...just freaking rocks.
Love your music.....
I'm from ky and just now found him, great music......
His story telling is intense
I like it. Reminds me of Steve Earle!

Thanks for sharing. We are looking forward to you performing at the Trade Water Music Fest in September!
I’m happy these guys are so called underground. The fame and success brings on sell outs. I wouldn’t wish that on guys like this. Stay true!
Such great talent
I'm really getting to where I love more of his music. Great artist.
I once listen to this on Big Ticket the country music video on CMT years ago.
I love to jam this song wide open with the top off of my Jeep.!
laid up here in east ky. wondering why i havent heard of chris? but glad he made it out epa has killed the soul . and now they shut the prison down but by god riding it out till they move me to the box
He's the boss in my book.
blutund is correct. Texas or not, CK is plain well respected. As an artist and a person. One of the best
how was this song NOT a number one hit guess the radio didnt like it
I think Chris Knight would do an awesome cover of The Road Goes On Forever but The Party Never Ends
Justin Myslive checkout "undone" it a r. e.k. tune he covers
I'd much rather hear him sing REKs The Road Goes On and On.
While I'm sure he would do a fantastic job, there are some things that just should not be be done.
It would be like Waylon covering ring of fire. It never happened nor should Chris knight cover the road goes on forever.
I agree with you Justin Myslive.
i love this song
