  • I always hear the question, I have too much solder on the surface, how can I clean it?
First we have to go back and figure out why the problem was created in the first place. This video will explain the problem and how to solve it, just go to TH-cam‪@EgJewels‬ and watch it.

Love your videos, they have been so helpful I just started a class, my teacher tends to take over and not let me do things myself. Been learning a lot from your show. Thank you!!!

Hello Kitty, thanks for watching my videos and I’m glad I can help, I understand that some teachers are like that. However, next time ask him politely to stand by and watch how you will do it then he can help by correcting to improve your skills 😊

    Love your videos!
My instructor would remind us "Solder won't flow where flux didn't go." Also, beginners often try to fill a gap between bezel and plate by adding more solder. Make sure the bezel is touching all the way around....Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks Patrick for watching my videos, and yes you’re right it shouldn’t be any gaps between the bezel and the backplate, what I usually do is sand the base of the bezel flat by using a sandpaper over a steel block. However, sometimes the baseplate is not flat and by using my hummingbird, the weight with the heat applied for soldering will correct this problem. Thanks again and Have a wonderful and a happy New Year 🎆
