I didn't suffer the loose arms on Dusty or the Crimson Guard, but the moment I got Zarana... POP! Off came her arm and I had to spend 15 mins looking for it cus it shot off the shoulder like a bullet.
I got lucky with mine, I messed with it a bit, and doesnt' feel like a loose arm for mine... I didn't get dusty... I'll have to double check my CG"s now.... but that super glue is a damn good idea for temp fixes and such!

That's crazy you have that issue too! As soon as I removed the figure from her packaging and I started testing out the joints, POP goes her right arm. I still have that right arm somewhere around.... Thanks for the informative fix/review.
Thanks for showing a fix. I had the same issue. The first time, I returned the figure. The replacement also had the same issue but the arm didn’t pop off as bad.

Not sure if you'll find this helpful, but if you don't want to use Crazy Glue, you can try Pledge floor polish, the ones that say Future Shine get the best results. Many Transformers fans use it to tighten loose joints as the polish thickens the pegs and other parts of the joints. Might help here too.
I've had to do this fix for a couple of mcfarlane figures. I'm with you man. I love this figure, but the QC is ridiculous. Both arms on mine fall off with the slightest movement.
Zarana is the first female figure that I ever purchased as a kid so she is one of my most anticipated figures of all time! I had the exact same loose arms but I am so biased that I overlooked it. It is disappointing that Hasbro let such a wonderful figure release with such poor quality control. 😢
Pandora and Zaranna look amazing together ! Great fix on the figure , it sucks that hasbro can’t get their qc together … all the more reason why valaverse is better.

Yesterday I finally found a recondo. I got home and it was trash. It prompted me to make a video on IG comparing Valaverse to hasbro, but the issues are insane. His paint apps are jacked, both ears have chunks in them, both feet are frozen in place and both lower knee joints are frozen. I didn’t mess with my zarana much but my dusty did seem to have a loose arm and I didn’t mess with him much because he has a knee joint that wasn’t cut properly. I can show you all these issues if you care to see, but I have the worst luck with my classifieds. Even my bazooka has trash legs. This is a long comment, don’t blame you if you pass it by, love the videos you make, thank you and keep it up.

I hate on Reddit how many toy collectors love poking fun at people who post a broken toy upon first handle. They love to say things like, “You must be new to toy collecting,” “These are collection, don’t you know you have to heat it or use boil water before you move it?” Like when did so many people come to accept these QC issues? We should never have to apply any heat or make any fix to a brand new toy.

Great content sir but I will be honest the drop test had me cringing the whole time as I think most of my stuff would break apart dropping them onto concrete your a brave man!
With mine it was the right arm and if I look at it too hard it flies off......I heated it up and used pliers to squeeze it around the peg......while holding the bicep with some pressure I ran it under cold water and it seems to be holding.....but I like your method man I'm a try that and see if the combination of methods will work.....man I'm paying $46⁹⁹ up here in Canada for these things....and yea she looks great (btw same issue with Dusty on the left arm) for the money they're looking for God damn Hasbro......fix your shit..........great video man thank you for looking out for the community

Yup. My Zarana has the same issue. I came to the same conclusion. It's a great figure but not worth the price. I compared it to the Valaverse Pandora. A more expensive figure that IS worth the price and I do not like paying more but it's interesting that I feel ripped off paying $25 for one figure and then feel I got my money's worth on a $35.
One of the 4 crimson guards i got has a stuck ankle. had to pop it off and shave some material off. Dusty was solid for me. Zarana for me was solid....i dont like where they connected the shoulder pads though..so im gonna get a 2nd one and pull the pads off and attach them to the bicep where the strap is. Lol not gonna lie...i liked the old pompadour look better. Quality for me has been pretty good with the Gi Joes..i have more issues with the legends i got...shit i got boot legs of figmas and second axe figures with less problems then some legends.
I guess I lucked out. My Zarana and Crimson Guard are straight. I am scared to buy Dusty. Thanks for the heads-up on the fix, cause I may need it at some point. Hopefully later than sooner.

Makes me wonder if Hasbro switched factories for this wave (Dusty, Crimson Guard, Zarana). I'm not saying it's an excuse, but just something that would make sense why that specific area is a problrm on all 3. Hell YEAH they should be complimentary! What's the fun if you DON'T mix-and-match them? To make your own unique versions? Classified, Valavers, GridIron- use'em all!

Mine came fucked up too! Left arm came off when I pulled her from the package. I dipped mine in hot water then cooled it right away and it helped. I have two crimson guard and I have no desire to open them. Hasbro needs to improve the plastic formula, right now it is too soft. I feel like this is affecting all their lines. It sucks because it is holding the line back. Valaverse all the way! Bobby knows how to make an action figure!
Glad I found this video months ago, finally snagged her on sale annnd... both arms. Pretty much like the second one in the video left pops off but the right holds on a bit better but that doesn't matter since the shoulders are so damn tight. Between Zarana and Ironheart I am just reminded why I haven't bought anything from Hasbro in the last couple years. McFarlane may lack articulation but things don't pop off without heat and force, sometimes what should be excessive force.
Mine had both arms that easily pop out. I feel the material is kinda gummy and that must be part of the problem. My Crimsom Guard did not have any issues, but the Dusty has the same gummy feeling to the upper arm as Zarana does, but have not popped out on me yet. @Articulated Ninja Reviews do you think that some nail polish could work to fix that instead of the Krazy Glue? Keep the great work man!
This isn't just an issue with Classifieds figures, as I have encountered this problem with Character Options Doctor Who figures, as well. It seems as though the increase in price on these modern figures, has also led to a decrease in quality control standards.
I'm really big on planning ahead so I don't get caught off guard. If we can ask Bobby a question or two. I would like to know when that Rezvani toy truck is possibly coming and a price. I want two at least. One to keep pristine and one to kit bash. Hopefully that will slap Hasbro awake so when can a jeep or Hummer out of them for a decent price.

I've heard that Hasbro hasn't been doing great over the last year. I wouldn't be surprised if they are using cheeper plastic at the same time that they are raising prices. I get the feeling that they need to pinch every penny. Who knows?

My Zarana and Dusty are "A's" and have no problems. But, I have a Stalker and TF Outback (Both "B's") who have loose hips!!! Not the same problem, but, still a QC issue!!! in Canada, those are $50 a pop! I have 14 Joe figs, never noticed any of that, but I just pose them in a window shelve. I m old enough to have had practically all collection from 82. and... in retrospective, there was too much characters. I m not doing this same mistake this time around. ok, those are bigger, more expensive, but even then, I m more picky now. I ll make my point simply, it s bad management from Hasbro. cranking all these figures so fast, and not enough of them. it used to be 2 yrs shelf life span. now it s what, 2 months? I missed a lot of figures I wanted, and there s now available many that I don t. they should have made a classic distribution as in 82. I have no troopers, and only pythonised vipers and bats. I never could get the regular ones that I honestly like better. it looks like chaos to me, it s not fun. it feels like a rat race with excessive stress attached. I wish it was like the old days, spreading the spending over years. troopers, vipers, bats, should be plenty to buy. if quality is compromised on top of all the mess, only the most hardcore fan will buy this. it s all wrong, collectables in principle is seriously flawed. they should release as regular stable distribution toys. they make less money, and we have less fun - satisfaction. I d have at least 10 figs more on a more reasonable business model. Barbie s in charge for sure, no man, or fan would do such a mistake. they fired over 1000 employees lately, well, I m not surprised considering the current management. you should do a video about this bro, improve the scene. now you know, and knowing is half the battle! good work.

Hey AN I've sort of got a question for Vala and you really. Has he or anyone ever thought of a figure line where you order a figure in parts? Like it'd arrive fully complete put together but you order arms with certain sleeve length and color, bare, muscly, thin, THICK, bunch of torso shirt designs and color, jeans, military pants, loose pants at the ankles etc etc. Sometimes I'd like a custom figure but have to settle for close enough because full on kitbashing could be crazy expensive from all the figures needed to make a "perfect" version. Maybe it wouldn't be worth the cost but I'm just curious of if it's ever been done and if not could it ever feasibly be.

My zarana's arm loose too, so i fix it using mini screw. I replaced the peg with head of the screw. Works perfectly.

I agree. Now they are hiding figures in boxes, they can do even less for quality. Becoming like NECA, figures you see but not touch.

Mine came fucked up too! Left arm came off when I pulled her from the package. I dipped mine in hot water then cooled it right away and it helped. I have two crimson guard and I have no desire to open them. Hasbro needs to improve the plastic formula, right now it is too soft. I feel like this is affecting all their lines. It sucks because it is holding the line back. Valaverse all the way! Bobby knows how to make an action figure!
My Zarana is OK, but keeping that fix in mind.
Glad I found this video months ago, finally snagged her on sale annnd... both arms. Pretty much like the second one in the video left pops off but the right holds on a bit better but that doesn't matter since the shoulders are so damn tight. Between Zarana and Ironheart I am just reminded why I haven't bought anything from Hasbro in the last couple years. McFarlane may lack articulation but things don't pop off without heat and force, sometimes what should be excessive force.
Mine had both arms that easily pop out. I feel the material is kinda gummy and that must be part of the problem. My Crimsom Guard did not have any issues, but the Dusty has the same gummy feeling to the upper arm as Zarana does, but have not popped out on me yet.
@Articulated Ninja Reviews do you think that some nail polish could work to fix that instead of the Krazy Glue?

This isn't just an issue with Classifieds figures, as I have encountered this problem with Character Options Doctor Who figures, as well.
It seems as though the increase in price on these modern figures, has also led to a decrease in quality control standards.

I've heard that Hasbro hasn't been doing great over the last year. I wouldn't be surprised if they are using cheeper plastic at the same time that they are raising prices. I get the feeling that they need to pinch every penny. Who knows?

Hi, T=MC2, Do you think it has anything to do with your theory of different factories?!?!?! I recall you comparing the "A" and "B" versions of Classified figures. My Zarana and Dusty are "A's" and have no problems. But, I have a Stalker and TF Outback (Both "B's") who have loose hips!!! Not the same problem, but, still a QC issue!!! Hey AN I've sort of got a question for Vala and you really. Has he or anyone ever thought of a figure line where you order a figure in parts? Like it'd arrive fully complete put together but you order arms with certain sleeve length and color, bare, muscly, thin, THICK, bunch of torso shirt designs and color, jeans, military pants, loose pants at the ankles etc etc. Sometimes I'd like a custom figure but have to settle for close enough because full on kitbashing could be crazy expensive from all the figures needed to make a "perfect" version. Maybe it wouldn't be worth the cost but I'm just curious of if it's ever been done and if not could it ever feasibly be.
