Thank you for sharing! I’m glad I’m not the only one suffering.. I am going through the same exact situation with a 18 hp Intek. The camshaft decompression failed so that was replaced. Has no play in rod bearing, no end play, but has that same amount of play in the countershaft. It runs just like your most recent video. Very frustrating
thank you i just finished rebuilding a 19hp 540cc that i believe to have the same problem since it has no rod play edit:yes it was the problem and thank you very much for the information
The pressurized lube version of these engine are infinitely better then the splash version. I find it hard to believe the little oil slinger is going to work well lubricating everything with that counter weight system in the way.
Can we buy the arms buy them selves or in a set ??? I bet the sump case is extremely high price???? They don’t share any information other than buy a new engine Thank You for sharing what you have found out with Us Update please ????

There is a reason that there is no videos on this engine…Not one of Briggs better designs

I understand your frustration but you need to give up and buy a used twin. Smoother, Quieter,and more durable.
