@@israymervalentin-arias6313 This leads into a difficult discussion because "no spoilers". It's a great discussion because Walter White is a soul in turmoil.
Season 5 is when "Heisenberg mode" becomes proactive and not just reactive to the environment.
Mike knows Heisenberg wants to kill those men. How do you think Mike would react if he did kill those men?
Walter stole Mike's gun for a reason that wasn't emotional. Heisenberg had a plan. Walt struggles with that plan.
As for Jesse, both sides of Walter cares for Jesse. This is also explored as we talk about Walter being a soul in turmoil. Ask yourself which part of Walter likes Jesse for being Jesse, and which part likes Jesse for the selfish reminder of "I am in control".

What's heartbreaking is that Mike's granddaughter will never know what happened to him. The last memory she will have is of him leaving her alone in the park and never seeing him again for the rest of her life. Oh and Mike did fall over and basically died/passed out from loss of blood.

Trying to say this in the most polite way possible, but Lacey just WILL NOT stop talking. I’m watching the full reactions for 506 and 507 and I honesty don’t believe she stays quiet for 30 seconds straight in the entire two episodes.
She talks over every scene of dialogue, talks over characters, trying to finish their lines for them. Talks over dialogue to try to predict what happens next. She narrates everything that’s happening like we’re blind. Steve will be trying to focus on a scene and Lacey stares at the side of his head waiting for him to react to what she said. By the end of 507, Steve was even holding his hand out to shut her up.
It’s very irritating and has been ruining the reactions for me. I hope she is able to chill out in future episodes and focus more on the show. Just take in what’s happening on the screen. It’s okay to be quiet for a few minutes and enjoy the show. The forced talking takes away from the experience.

FBI I have been with her for too many years to know she is not an emotional person. When Walt made the comment it struck us both in different ways. To some people to laugh is one way of getting through an event or situation it just happens. Walt’s peculiar statement struck her as odd and off the wall and hence the laugh. It just happened. As far as liking Mike she absolutely did because we have talked off camera about his ability to stay true to his word and to follow through. So I’m grateful that you React at all❣️I’ve seen all kinds of reactions, yours isn’t the best or the worst, I enjoy watching someone else that enjoys the shows I watch.
My boyfriend David and I binge watch BB over the weekend, we enjoyed the show. But we differ when it came to TWD, David hated it, I Love horror and have always Loved Zombie movies.
As a child & adult, I read in the Bible, in Revelation how the died will rise, so I have always had fascination with the died rising up, and Walking the earth. 🧟‍♀️
But I don’t think God would do that to us. Because of Lazarus, he died and Jesus brought him back. Well I’m way off of topic, but I thought it was worth mentioning. 😊
If everyone reacted the same, what a boring world we would live in!
Lacey, you laughed for whatever reason, when I watched S5S7, I was sad, I liked Mike. He just wanted to provide for his granddaughter, Mike knew he could have been killed at anytime; due to his line of work.
Walt was fighting demons, and had become egotistical with strength and power!
I’ve seen people laugh at a funeral, and cry at a wedding. Why???
Who knows, I bet everyone that watches or reacts on any show, isn’t perfect or can act differently.
I thought your t-shirt said it all,
    BE KIND💗 from TWD❣️
I was watching Nikki & Steven React to TWD S10S5, didn’t enjoy what Steven was saying, but that’s ok, I agree if we disagree. He totally wasn’t wrong or right, he gave his opinion and I commented on it. These discussions are great! We all have Assholes and may sometime, we can act like one!
Not calling anyone an Asshole, but I think you know what I mean. Opinions & Reactions! The givers & the Takers...

Walter and Gus are very different, but there are some important similarities, both of them were in the "empire business", and both ended up becoming unbelievably ruthless, cold and calculating to get to their position.
And the writers of the show made lots of subtle references to those and other similarities between them in this season. In this episode, for example Jesse insinuates that Walter doesn't really care about the kid Todd killed. Walter's reaction is utter indignation at the accusation 9:00. That scene is very similar to the one in episode 3x12 in which Walter insinuates that maybe Gus gave the order to kill the kid. Gus' reaction is extremely similar to Walter's ( th-cam.com/video/II75V51dj1U/w-d-xo.htmlm31s ).
But if you look at their actions you can clearly see that neither Gus nor Walter seem particularly bothered about children dying for their cause. I am not sure if both are pretending or if they are fooling themselves into believing they care. I would bet the latter, particularly in Walter's case. Walter is the ultimate liar, he lies to everybody, specially to himself.
For example, he has no reason to keep doing what he is doing, he could sell the methylamine and retire with more than enough money for his family, like Mike. But he chooses to be the "emperor" of the meth industry. And he is still able to fool himself into believing that he does what he does for his family.

There is only two ways she lets out emotion is to laugh or cry. 98% of the time she will cry. The oddity of Walt’s comment while Mike was dying hit her a certain way and instead of emotional cry she did laugh because to her it was a WTF moment. We like Mike we liked his character. We talked about Mikes death off camera as Craig Kostelecky was here during the filming. I think having Craig here she didn’t want to cry in front of him and had a nervous laugh. In talking about "respect" that Walt should have for Skylar, I don't think it's entirely unfair for him to have this kind of attitude. A large amount of it is his huge ego trip but she also cheated on him and got the kids taken away so she can wait for him to die.
I'm not saying Walt is right for acting like this, and the entire situation with Skylar is borne out of his actions, but at this point I don't think either holds a whole lot of care for the other.

    • @goodguykonrad3701
      @goodguykonrad3701 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@ourcorrectopinions6824 What are you talking about? That wasn't at all what I was focusing on. I used that as one of two examples to exemplify how she doesn't care for Walt anymore. She didn't start having sex with Ted to pursue a new relationship, she did it to get back at Walt. You may not want to call it cheating but it doesn't detract from my point. I even say that everything that happens is Walt's fault.
In case you missed what I was trying to say, let me put it more clearly. Walt talking to Skylar without respect isn't necessarily unreasonable as the two already don't have respect for one another.
Also, I think you'll find that the situation with their relationship is a lot more complicated than Skylar getting divorce papers so they're no longer a couple. They're in the process of working through problems and they essentially get back together in Season 4, as they seem comfortable together again, and seem content together in Season 5 when Walt quits (not quite but she seems happy to be able to pursue a normal life with him). Drumming it all up as, "They weren't together" diminishes the complexity of the situation.

When Mike left his granddaughter Kaylee at the park, he knew her bank money was confiscated. I like to believe he reasoned if he were still free he could set up somewhere else to rebuild her inheritance a third time. If not for that hope, I think he would have gladly stayed so Kaylee never felt abandoned.
I do think Mike is a bit wrong on one count. Walter's ego wasn't the only driving force that ruined everything under Gus. Walter had family protection in mind as well.

True, but of all the things that contributed to that downfall, his pride was definitely one of the biggest issues. If you watch the show again with a very careful eye, you can see that he's always had a bit of a pride thing, even if it didn't show as much as it did when he became Heisenberg. I think Mike could understand the family protection, but it was Walt's pride that disgusted him the most.

I agree there is absolutely no doubt ego was a big player behind Walter throughout the entire series. I will never deny that part. Walter could have dropped his ego and accepted a position at "Gray Matter". In fact, the whole reason Walter sold his share of "Gray Matter" was ego based. He could have been half owner. But then we would not have a show.
My only point is the catalyst behind some of Walter's actions "ruining things" stemmed from Walter protecting himself & his family (including Jesse) rather than ego. Walter protected Jesse at the expense of his own best interests quite often.

Every scene of every show (or good ones, at least) is gonna be multi-faceted and invoke several possible interpretations and emotional responses from people. Every person and viewing experience is also multi-faceted and complex.
Millions of people watch this show. Is it so hard to believe that everyone is capable of having a different reaction? If you took a poll of every single person whose watched Mike’s death, for the first or 100th time, I don’t think it’s that hard to believe people can laugh at Walt’s actions and his line delivery/plainness of word choice.
But even if you COULD poll that data, no one has any right to tell another person how to feel, what to find funny, or how to act. I know some people may feel like they’re giving them constructive criticism or that they don’t mean to be rude when they point out how odd a reaction may seem to them. But at the end of the day, I don’t think people should be so bothered by such trivial things. Me typing out such a big comment probably doesn’t go in line with that, but if anyone is unintentionally mean-spirited or rude, I hope they can look outside of themselves a bit and be a little more critical of how they interact with people. If reactions are genuine, then it’s not in our place to dictate how those people react when it’s not what we want. No one’s forcing anyone to watch.

    • @DuoReacts
      @DuoReacts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Steve Couch ~ This is very well said Steve. I always appreciate different opinions and even welcome constructive criticism, BUT... it's all in how that opinion or criticism is given. How it is worded. Some people let their opinions turn nasty and rude. And that is when I no longer appreciate it. Telling me... "Oh, I was not expecting that reaction" is a normal way to word it.... but saying "What the hell is wrong with you?" ... that is rude and becomes more than just an opinion or constructive criticism. That implies something much more hurtful than was perhaps intended. I am always of the belief that one should never type something in a comment that they would never say straight to someones face. So many people do that here on the internet... and that is a problem with society... some people feel as if they can hide behind a computer screen and act a different way because there are no consequences for their words and actions. They are being fake. Not being their true selves. And honestly... if that IS their true selves.... then I don't want them here anyways. ~ Lacey

The answer is a giveaway: Todd never intended to be an employee of Mr White, he wanted to know all the chemistry before taking over. But in Walt's mind, it's a sign that Todd is honest and loyal. It was a clear signal. If Todd had said "I want $25k a week until I get it right", or even "$1000/week now, but once I master this I want a percentage", or anything like that, then it's possible Todd had neutral intentions. $0 for hours and hours, without any talk of percentage or potential earning? Looking back at this episode... it might be my least favorite of the series. The storytelling just didn't quite work, it didn't do a good job of creating a situation where we understand why Walt chose to kill Mike.
They should have showed Walt freaking out and panicking that Mike's guys are talking and realizing that his whole operation could be over with any day now. There should have been a loud prolonged argument where Walt insists he needs to fix this and kill off Mike's guys, Mike getting upset and yelling "fuck you, you're not going to kill them, I don't care if your meth empire crumbles", and Walt losing his mind because he's desperate to keep the business going... and pulling out the gun in extreme anger at Mike's unwillingness to fight to keep the business going.
And even then, it would have been a surprising thing for Walt to do, and not very sensible because it doesn't help him keep the business going. It would have only been killing out of temporary anger, which isn't a Walt-like thing to do.
So for Walt to shoot him without even that much of a build-up... it just seems surprising and confusing. Instead of a "holy shit, Mike's dead" reaction it's just a confused "why did that happen, I don't get it, this is weird" reaction... and I think that's why she was able to laugh about it. It's just a weird scene that doesn't carry the emotional impact that it should.

Lacey, your laughter at inappropriate moments in the past has troubled me, but your laughter when Mike is shot is downright disturbing. Sorry, unsubscribing.

It's weird that they didn't explain who that was. Like, they should know that we'd be curious if some random person is watching along with them.
