Hi Dr. Ryglicki. Thank you for the information. I don't think I've ever heard of a secondary eyewall. Very interesting!

I hadn't either. This was neat!

This is quite interesting! Do you happen to know the record for the most eyewall replacements during any one hurricane's lifetime?

Is the annular Hurricane what we laypeople call the “small” or “tight” hurricanes? They tend to move faster and hold their intensity, even over land?

A question for the Doctor. Using the Eldora section of the video as well as Ian section. Looking closely at the eye walls, and also going by what you said “it commonly happens with category 3,4,5 hurricanes,”
    I’m rambling sorry haha
Doesn’t it look like the hurricane is breathing?

My old advisor said that to me about 1997 EPAC Hurricane Guillermo, which eventually became a Ryglickicane in that we know that the "breathing" he was talking about is caused by tilt wobbles.
But you choose that word, breathing, for a reason. What do you mean, specifically?

@@davidryg it seems as if in the change process of the eye wall, the warm gets released kind of like how humans exhale. At the same time, and it is at the same time because it’s just one big hole, cold air moves down in to start and create another eye wall. It’s the cycle process how it amazes me because it definitely does look like breathing but in Mother Nature form. Also in that for specifically, it is a monster, it is extremely dangerous but also beautiful sense to me.
