London Eye, New Year 2012 Fireworks Display

The London Eye, New Year 2012 fireworks display. This stunning display is a credit to the technicians of Kimbolton Fireworks under the direction of Display Designer Darryl Fleming. This video was taken from as close to the display as it is possible for a spectator to get - the platform atop the riverside steps of the RAF Memorial. It is the vantage point chosen by Darryl to watch his own creation.
For the technically minded, the camera was a Canon HF S10 with a Canon WD-58 wide-angle supplementary lens. In front of these I made an adapter to position a further pair of Optex Mk2 x7 supplementary lenses. This is why the video achieves the required width but has the fish-eye distortion typical of extreme wide-angle photography.
