Played this game for the first time at Choctaw in Oklahoma a couple of nights ago and turned 2500 into 12k. The max bet on the pot of gold is 200 there. I hit it for 3k and 1200 on a $100 bet. I was betting $5 for dealer every hand on pot of gold. They were happy to see me 😂. I also hit a few max coins with lesser bets. Pairs are the best. It’s a fun game, but I think the house edge is more than half a percent tho.

Great session. In Canada, the Freebet game is a bit different with the side bet. The side bet is if the dealer gets the 22. Suited pays 50 to 1. The house gets the edge with the push 22. I would not be playing freebet. You will ultimately lose in the long run because of the push 22. Dealer busts on 22 very frequently normally. That’s why they have it. But you played awesome. You did NOT play like a “donkey”. Good luck next time. I want to see you clear their trays out!!!

the max he's given out is 4 coins but up to 7 is possible 4 splits plus 3 double after split. Some casinos also have a push 22 bet in place or in addition to the pot of gold where you can win money if the dealer gets a push 22 and the pay out is greater if the more cards the dealer uses to get push 22. If you would have stayed on those 9's you could have gotten a third coin and gotten a 15 on that 3rd split. and gotten 750 from the pot of gold bet and on the regular bet 2 of the hands would have won and the other two would have lost.

Usually tables for this game is always pack and you have to wait to get it. Been playing this game for 5 years now when it was first introduced on the east coast casino here.

Just a side note, there are a few strategy changes because of the push 22 rule:
12v4 is a hit, 13v2 is a hit, A5 vs 6, A6 vs. 5 or 6, and A7 vs. 5 or 6 are still doubles out of your own pocket...and in addition to those changes, on a free hand (after splitting, loses on a tie) 14v2 is a hit, 17 vs. 7, 8, 9, or Ace are hits, and the following are also real money doubles: A7 vs. 4, A8 vs. 5 or 6, and surprisingly, A9 vs. 6.

Free Bet Blackjack is considered a "carnival" game like 3 Card Poker or Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em... Some places a blackjack pays 6-5 which is not good... And with the 22 push and overall rules of this game the house edge is considerably higher than a standard 6-Deck Shoe game where blackjacks pay 3-2... This one might be 3-2 im not sure but I do know at the Green Valley Ranch a blackjack pays 6-5 on this game so don't play this game at the GVR lol
