- Hey everyone! Another quick video before we make it to our home claim.
This time were up in Turnagain Pass checking out Bertha Creek with the four inch dredge and a high banker.
We are aware that a lot of people have found a fair bit of gold up there, but we regret to say that most people up there are mining illegally! There are specific rules in place to protect the stream health and plant life (like staying below the ordinary high water mark, not disturbing vegetation, not undercutting the banks, etc..) and we like to play by the rules. - บันเทิง

Water is definitely still high! Amazing how much it can go up and down during the course of a day. Always a fun place to play.

We appreciate you riding along on the journey. We looked into claims in Idaho but the reality is that mining here and heading south in September would only get us an extra two months of dredging. When do you finish your season?
In a way i guess you can say it was a downer, but getting out there with the family and friends, would've been worth all the gold i didn't get. Plus ya got some practice in and ya got all pumped and primed to get it done at your spot. Looking forward to it, always got me notification bell on for y'all. Peace.
You hit it right. I really enjoyed that and we know there is better gold in the creek so I wouldn’t be surprised if we take trips up there when it’s not possible to get back to our place.

Hey guys with water just above 0 degrees c. at a guess, I'd be interested in what wetsuits you're using, as well as thermals, gloves etc. I'm pretty sure you could educate a few of us down here in tropical Tasmania. 6 degrees c. and snow to 100mtrs today, that's pretty much as cold as it get here at sea level.
So, we wear 7 mil dry suits. It’s a strong possibility that we will add a hot water system to the dredge next year but currently and for the past two years we dive dry. It’s a bit colder than diving in a warm water wetsuit but it’s nice being dry when we come out. In the fall our air temps drop quite a bit. Our hood and gloves are wet and they stay kinda warm as long as they are full of holes. Mine currently are.
I'm at resurection on hope mining claim bonanza and seeing a little bit.
We had decent luck out there in our previous video. Resurrection was ripping too.
@@twodudesonedredge Al and Greg over at Hope mining really took care of me yesterday. There is quite a bit of gold in that creek.

When I went to Berthas I was finding beads of liquid mercury.
Yeah I’m not surprised by that at all. Did you burn off the mercury and get the gold it was attached to ?

Been there. Back in the day a few years ago and got our stern warning from wildlife troopers. We will just stick to the letter of the law whenever possible to avoid the relationship between law enforcement and prospectors.
I know a few years ago some idiot brought in a excavator and ruined it for everyone. Those are just tailings too, showes you how much gold they missed.

Yup pretty bad with gas prices. Good for the thrill of the hunt. Now you know another spot "not to look" Lmao. I didn't even bother weighing what I've found so far this year. It's too pitiful lmao

Course not, Pure garbage mining in 2022, I woulda quit 20 years ago....no forests, ugly women, no parties, whoa. Ouch. Wow
