MAGNIFICENT MUNRO MTB - Beinn Ime, Arrochar

  • WATCH TO THE END 🤘🏻 - 1,011m of uninterrupted MTB descending down one of Scotland's finest Southern Munros. Only 1 hour from Glasgow, Arrochar is at the head of Loch Long which means the climb starts at sea level. The ultimate reward is the continuous descent from the summit, with some nice drainage ditches and steep staircases to really test your skills.
The climb to about 600m is along a well built path that is shared with the climb to the Cobbler (Ben Arthur) and Beinn Narnain so it's a no go for an early descent and is probably best avoided altogether at the weekend.
If you are as lucky as me to get a clear day, the view are absolutely outstanding - Ben Nevis to the North, the Paps of Jury and Goatfell of Arran to the South West with the mighty Ben Lomond to the South East.
I cannot recommend the MTB descent of Beinn Ime more, it is an absolute belter! Hit up the comments if you know of any others that rival this one (munros or not).

Excellent. I've only ridden Beinn Ime once before but feel like I'll head up again soon! Thanks for sharing.

It’s a crackin descent, would definitely do it again. Just watched your WHW video, unreal effort. Took me 3.5 days when I did it 🤣.

Great quality footage and nicely ridden. I'm hoping to do this soon, maybe today. I've just got a brand new back wheel and I have a feeling it won't be new for long. Cheers 👍🍻

Really nice video, I was lucky enough to get up there Saturday on my bike. The weather was perfect. Great views from the summit and the decent is the brilliant. 👍🏻

Nice one! We've had such a nice run of weather, it's just great to be able to take advantage of it! How did you enjoy the descent? 100% rideable (if you ignore the pesky drainage ditches)?

good effort man, how long did it take you to summit with the bike? Guessing it was pushed most of the time? appreciated buddy, amazing video.

Enjoyed the video and the new mount angle, etc. I've only walked Beinn Ime in the snow so it was good to see what the path is actually like from the top to the gate. Not sure either I or my hardtail could handle the first parts of that decent but the second half looks great fun!

Thanks John! I had only walked it in the snow too before this and wasn't 100% sure it would be good. So glad I gave it a go, it's definitely one of my favourite munro rides.
