  • For best results stick to a half-inch either shortening or lengthening your suit sleeves. Any more would require a full adjustment. This is just a quick trick I use when I'm in a pinch.
    For a full shortening, tutorial let me know if you're interested in the comments below. It's a much harder video to film so I don't want to make it if you're not interested.
    I hope this video helps! You can follow me on my other platforms for more content.

    This method was perfect for my needs. Based on other videos, I thought I I would have to remove all the buttons and button holes, shift them all up and take apart and resew the sleeve all for a measly half inch or so. Great video.

    I must say... another award winning selection of topic. I would enjoy a video of the complete and proper alteration of sleeves.
    Your posts have become my latest indulgence and addiction.

      @@AspiringGent I appreciate that but, in all honesty this is all due to your vision and dedication to being well tailored. I find your straightforward approach to the guidelines and basic rules of being a well dressed man refreshingly important especially in this world of casual to almost being sloppy and unkempt. Keep up the fight for higher quality and standards.

    Keep doing these hacks. Much appreciated, I had less than 1/2 inch just like this and it was worked out superbly. You have to show some cuff.. Keep making videos....Cheers.

    Thanks heaps, I'm doing this now, since I don't want to spend almost 60% of the total price of the blazer just for minor alterations on the sleeve, so terrible having short arms!

    If you don’t want to sew, use iron-on hem tape inside the lining.

      You can use iron-on hem tape inside the lining if you don’t want to see. For polyester jackets, place a light towel between the sleeve and the iron to avoid iron marks.

    in my long winter coat,, it has lining,, but the thing i found in the armpit area, is like a tab... i assume its to pull the lining back into the sleeve so it doesn't kinda bunch out by the hand,, would i be correct in assuming this? Jazz from New Zealand

    • @AspiringGent
      @AspiringGent  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be for winter lining that is removable or just a arm pit guard. Hard to say without seeing it.
