    Listener Questions From TH-cam:
I think you should do an episode with a veteran with a VA disability, who became a pilot. What was his/her obstacle to getting a 1st class medical?
    Perceived Medical Challenges for Pilots:
Perfect Eyesight is not a requirement.
Medications you might think will prevent you from obtaining a medical.
VA medical disability must be disclosed but most can still obtain a medical.
Consult an AME consultant or an attorney specializing in the process.
    SSRI Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors

Any kind of psychosis diagnosis will not allow you to fly.

I depends on the diagnosis. Here is an interesting article from the FAA: www.faa.gov/pilot-mental-fitness . Also, if you want a consultation with an AME consultant on the specific condition reach out to one of the services on our resources page: www.aviationcareerspodcast.com/resources/. Of course if you want some assistance navigating the process we can help through our coaching at : www.aviationcareerspodcast.com/coaching/. Hope this helps.

If it’s substance or med induced it can be possible - hell they let schizophrenics fly at one time
