U should learn some basics about drill control by voltage adjustment and how quickly u can stuff a motor, also glass cutting with more than one pass stuffs the cutter

I like the inventiveness, but that tap handle will only fit one tap. When is a tool making company going to sell a set of taps with all 3/8 or 1/4" shanks, so I can drive it with a ratchet?
Im using voltage regulator for my grinder for last 5 years and you discovered that in 2018? And this tiny regulator can't handle heavy electrical equipment
Gotta love all that high precision measuring and drilling! Also interesting the single insulated cables going through drilled holes in metal with burs and sharp edges and apparently no earthing/grounding of the exposed metal parts!
Most of the time, no "high precision" is needed. Especially on these kinds of projects, LOL! As for the wiring, how do you know how whether or not the burrs were removed first? And not many of these are through metal. Most I saw were through plastic. 🤷♀️
In the United States there are multi bit screwdrivers available for $1.00 which is about 5-7 minutes of work at minimum wage. Also some of your ideas are likely to catch fire.
That thing does not look comfortable to use, I can't count how many of those multi tip screwdrivers I've bought, I have them everywhere, one in each car, I even have one in my bedroom, every time I needed a screwdriver at my girlfriends house, I couldn't find one, I must have brought three or more over there, and still they'd be nowhere to be found when I needed one, the last time I brought one over I hid it on top of a china cabinet.
I don't like multi-head screwdrivers because they're not as ergonomic as a normal one, but if you want one you should spend a bit more for a higher quality product (about 10$ or so), the cheapest ones tend to break quite easily.
Mister Inventor didn't invent lukewarm water, as we say here. Trying to control a synchronious motor with a phase dimmer can destroy both motor and dimmer, congrats.
bet there can be improvements there like a brain-box regulator programmed to control the impulses between both phase dimmer and speed regulator switch in the drill . oh and a fuse just in case, but most certainly in time you can roast one of those motors unless said motor is built like or for a sewing machine. best application for this invention can be best served in the audiophile/ antique radio restoration industry as it serves well as a B+ valve for anything your willing to test. pare it with a dim bulb tester and you have a extreme guarantee to not damage your gear nor your project if a tube or cap or resistor cremates it'self.
The drill motor is a brushed motor, so a dimmer will work, but it should be one that handles inductive loads. His is not, so it won't last long. Also, it is of limited usefulness since there is not much available torque at low speed using this method. The drill will stall under load.
This would be far better with some text in the description or video to explain what each idea does. A timeline index would enable viewers to watch only what parts may interest them.

Nice trick making the puffed to remove concrete dust out of the hole drilled into the masonry... too bad it’s now illegal under the new OSHA silica standards
There is nothing wrong with the compressed air. The problem is with the Silica in the concrete. Utilizing the compressed air "puffer" to blow the dust out of the holes releases the silica into the air thus creating a reparatory hazard to not only person doing the work, but those around him - based on the TLV's. The new silica standard states that silica dust need to be controlled. This can be done by using a HEPA vacuum attachment on the hammer drill. Honestly, I have read several testing reports related to the new silica standard, and based on those if you are, say doing only 1 hole in an 8 hour shift, then you should be fine however it's recommended you wear a NIOSH approved dust mask. But if you do this task daily and are at or exceeding the TLV's within the OSHA standard, then you need the proper equipment to control silica.
Dan Woodall I don't think OSHA applies in Russia. Of course, I dunno what Workplace safety commission they have over there, nor do I know if this trick would be ok by that standard.
I don't know if you have the same dimmer switches where you live but in the U.S. we can just go to any hardware store & get one for lights which replace the regular wall switch. That being said, number 2 is easier than you made it. Both the dimmer and a double outlet are designed to fit into a double wall box. After buying those and recycling a chord you can build that setup for about 12 dollars.

@3:40 you use the glas cutter like its a pipe cutter, just cut the glass once, then slightly tap on the glass to make it break (along the cut) @11:30 perhaps it is more convenient to tighten the chain. look at the derailleur (its now folded and should be more stretched = tighter chain) instead of covering the rear bridge (so chain doesnt slam on it) you should have made a tool to break the chain, so you make it shorter (to tighten the chain).

Once a skill is learned, it takes your mind to another level. What might seem simple and humorous to one person will not have the same meaning to someone else. I have been a builder and fabricator all of my life. To be able to teach and share ideas is good for everyone. If you think these videos are stupid, then make your own. Show us what you can do.

Defining your own ideas as genius is pretty bad form. They are pretty dependent on having a weird collection of high level tools and missing some simple things. E.g the chainsaw holder, who has welding equipment and no vice?
The vise is be light weight to carry with you in the woods on the job, that would be why the legs are spikes to stick in the ground. Have you ever hit a nail in a tree 3 or 4 miles away from your service truck and only had a file and a gas can with you? It's not much fun.
I can buy a proper chainsaw holding vice to use in forest for 10-15 bucks. I realize that the scrap metal and welding and stuff don't cost that much (maybe, welding rods/wire ain't that cheap..) but my TIME does. And it probably works better... and is lighter... and probably lasts better.
I just lay my bar on a log & sharpen away. If one has to have all this crap just to sharpen a chain, either you need to stay really close to the truck or give up cutting trees.

tails doll black it only grips two sides of the tap. Thats not good. It puts more twist on the taps body. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade with a commercial and industrial hvac-r business. The right tool for the job will make your life much easier.

I get it that its designed to create a variable speed but doing so with a tool that is not designed that way can /could overheat the motor and short things out internally. (or at least cause more wear and tear on internal parts that are not designed for the increase/decrease load being applied by this "genius idea" 8:02 you can do this with little to none of the prep work shown here by using a turkey baster... or a nasal aspirator (snot sucker) for little to no money.

that works. it's not the matter of looks you know it's the matter of function. looks comes second somewhat like a prototype for such application as that saw blade sharpener. it may not look pretty but it get's the job done . maybe after building what id consider being a prototype saw blade holder then you can build another that looks less ragged and sugar coat it to make it look like a factory made it. everything had a crude prototype, computer, typewriter, cell phone, plumbing, butter churns, you name it you got it. :)
I like how a few of these are simply a lamp kit that you can get from a hobby store or Like Home Depot and then he puts the lamp kit in an object which is exactly what it's for to make your own lamps...... Like three of them I'm not saying they're not cool or creative I'm just saying they aren't really Inventions or ideas... That's exactly what you're supposed to use them for

A spare chain would weigh less and be less likely to injure you than a spiked vice.

They make a part for that tap. It's called a HANDLE. It usually comes with the set.

i just use one of the adapter nozzles (like football or airbed) and a piece of home brew pipe with my bike pump

Actually, I have a better question, what IS half of the stuff this guy's using? It's kinda pointless to make a "Let's make it ourselves video" if the parts and pieces you're using are completely alien to most of the people watching this. This guy uses good stuff to make bad stuff
that works. it's not the matter of looks you know it's the matter of function. looks comes second somewhat like a prototype for such application as that saw blade sharpener. it may not look pretty but it get's the job done . maybe after building what id consider being a prototype saw blade holder then you can build another that looks less ragged and sugar coat it to make it look like a factory made it. everything had a crude prototype, computer, typewriter, cell phone, plumbing, butter churns, you name it you got it. :)

I like how a few of these are simply a lamp kit that you can get from a hobby store or Like Home Depot and then he puts the lamp kit in an object which is exactly what it's for to make your own lamps...... Like three of them I'm not saying they're not cool or creative I'm just saying they aren't really Inventions or ideas... That's exactly what you're supposed to use them for
