You baby that truck lol. Work it man it's what it's made for. Just keep it fueled up but let the trans do it's thing in tow haul mode. I tow more than that with an 04 4.7 Tundra on 33s with 435k miles. O/d off it holds every bit of 3k rpms in 3rd gear at 65-70 miles an hour. That 4.7 just purrs along, it's where it's most efficient. Tows pallets of sod, mini skid steers, mowers, mini excavators, pallets of other landscape materials. These toyotas will chug gas but will always get the job done.
That lower gear, and higher RPM, is what’s keeping your transmission cool!!! Transmission pump, pumps according to engine speed. Run that thing in OD while towing, and you will be replacing that transmission.
Daddy towing 8660lbs toyhauler. Brakes are fine after 40k miles about 5-8 trips a year with trailer. Work trailer never leaves truck during week. They are over built for sure. Great vid, but like most say don't need to baby it. I run at 4500rpm/5rpm for awhile up i17 in AZ.
Have you ever tried loading that on backwards? I have had my bx23s with just the mmm on backwards and it seems like it's easier to leave the engine weight right over the axles and doesn't weigh the rear of the truck down as much.
Man I have a 2005 Toyota tundra limited edition with Maxwell package and I used for hot shot and I told gooseneck trailer with it 30 footer and I tell up to 10,000 pounds here in Colorado and I do freight
I may have commented on another one of your videos just the other day!! Sharp looking truck, love the stance!! Who makes that stealthy looking front bumper? Thanks again!!

Miss my 1st gen I needed a full 4x4 unfortunately it was a basic 2wd no regrets but insurance was killing me on owning two Tundras lmao
The truck knows what to do. It's running in a lower gear and higher rpm for a reason.
