Jokes aside, it's a cloaking field, which is probably what that dome shape between the fins is intended to be.
The PVP thing is extremely disappointing though, hopefully it's a combat multipurpose ship and not a pure combat oriented design, I like PVE but could never justify a Python being so one-dimensionally specialized.

😍 So sexy... Hope it comes with some nice paints as well. I´de love a camouflage-set e.g. with both teal/desert, winter/ice etc. colors to hide on planet surfaces as well as a "dark"(matte) pattern just for the pure sight of it. ;)
