I just bought this pistol this afternoon. Mine did not come with the optic, but it came with the cut ready for it. I decided to make this my daily ccw. I just have to make sure it shoots reliably before I do that. I'm very impressed with the ergonomics. Bye glock 27. Hello xds 45 mod 2
@thearmorylife is Springfield still making these? Every gun store in the area says these are unobtainable. Online and wholesale distributors don't have them. What gives.
Is the slide lock improved or is it the same as the previous generations. I have the mod 2 on 9mm and it shoots great. My experience is that I tend to ride my support hand a bit higher, preventing the slide from locking back on the last round. It used to be my EDC for a while but as I became a more proficient shooter I started to shy away from it. Of course training is everything because you can’t predict a malfunction but…Love the platform but a click instead of a bang when needed could be a matter of live or death for yourself and a love one.
I’ve owned XD’s since 2016, several models. And in that time, not one failure. Don’t let sone Glock guys fool you. These guns are quality. Well made and superbly reliable. The minute you break one down, you will see that. Very robust overbuilt internals, not a hint of a tool mark inside. You won’t regret it. I had no experience and no expectations when I got my first XDS. The gun sold itself to me.
I have the ct red dot love it, thinking about trading my canik tp9 sc elite for one of these I do like having more rounds with the SC I just have so many 9mm guns
5 rounds? It’s 2021, 9mm has gone a long way and you can get a 10 round 9mm that’s smaller with even more velocity and stopping power. Cool, but not practical in this day in age
You're not going to get more stopping power out of a 9mm. Certain loads might be comparable, but not more, and I can run hot 45acp rds and get even more stopping power, but the stopping power In a 9mm, 40s&w, and a 45acp is actually irrelevant when you use quality ammo in those 3.
Trust me you're not getting more stopping power than I am with this 45acp loaded with federal punch. Or my xtp hand loads at 230gr weight hitting 950fps on the chronograph. That's over 450 ftlbs of energy!!! Not with a 9mm you aint!!!
Maybe if you’re part of a gang with a hit out on you lmao this just isn’t true for most concealed carry permit holders. A couple rounds will almost certainly cause any would-be robber to flee. They are looking for victims not a fight.
Don't matter if you have a thousand rounds ready it only takes 1 well placed shot. And if you can't hit them in 6 shots then maybe you need to hit the range and practice your accuracy
Honestly, how often do you find yourself in a gun fight on your way to get groceries? I think that a lot of folks simply aren’t realistic with their carry scenarios. Even in law enforcement, only a single digit percentage will ever draw their pistols in the line of duty, and they deal with bad guys all day.
@@Prosecute-fauci I mean I worked law enforcement and that scenario at the grocery store happens more than you think, same at pubs, dispensaries and late night convenient stores . It's really not uncommon
Beautiful and powerful pocket pistol
This is the ultimate weapon
Long time xd owner.
Great pistols.

Hey just picked up mime with an optic how much did you pay for yours
Really good review. Very professional. Just picked this up w the Crimson Trace dot. Good job.
Picked up my xds 9mm. Love it. Perfect carry
Love your review. Your recoil control is on point ,
Does anyone else get the sense that this guy works for Springfield?
Yes, The Armory Life is actually owned by Springfield Armory.
lol…
Awesome commentary thankyou.
ABOUT TIME! been waiting even for the regular one non optic cut. I assumed they stopped making 45!
Saw one at the gun store for only $379!!!!! What a bargain for the Croation sensation!!🎉
Your audio REALLY needed a compressor to be able to hear you at a consistent level. I like the video though. Love to get an XDS Mod2 45.
Wish it came with Hellcat sights! Upgraded mine with TruGlo TFX Pro. Ahhhh....much better. Also installed the PRP spring kit. Trigger is now 5.2lb
Walther PPQ M2 45 ACP my EDC

What Crimson Trace Red Dot model number are you using?

Way to ring that steel Brother! New Sub!!!
I'm picking this exact gun up this week and I was wondering if you had any failures to feed or exact during your time shooting ball or hollow points?

Since you have shot both the 9mm and the 45 which did you enjoy shooting most. I hate my wife's shield 40 as it feels overly snappy
That .45 is snappy as frick. Teeny gun so it's kinda what you have to deal with
What holster are you using?
Runs nice and easy disassembly(I cant seem to find a laser that is stabilized for it lol 😂)
I have the ct red dot love it, thinking about trading my canik tp9 sc elite for one of these I do like having more rounds with the SC I just have so many 9mm guns
Does this pistol print when concealed carry?
What a silly question
They make a clip draw that makes the print much less noticeable.
Ordered one yesterday..
I want to put that Crimson Trace sight on my XDS 45, can you tell me which model it is?
Yes what model of crimson trace is this?
Crimson Trace Laser guard pro (Green)
He said small and light weight, let me go look that up now 🥴
Now make a pro version with longer frame and flush 7 round mags.
Why are these nowhere to be found now?
Bell Path
I carry it as a pocket gun.
look these are really close range guns, how does it shoot when your not on the range .
I can drive nails with this at 40 yards. How much farther do you plan on firing a pistol ?
Are you just shooting somewhere in your neighborhood 😂
God, you look like such a tactical dork slowly extending your arms out 😂
Train slow, then train fast. It’s better to train proper, slow movements first.
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
Davis Cynthia Williams Kevin Perez David
Looks bulky with that additional sight
Robinson Kimberly Hernandez Sarah Smith Robert
Martin Melissa Robinson Jessica Martinez Robert
I would have bought it if it wasn’t for only having five rounds
This is my ONLY concern. 5 rounds. If you’re in some actual trouble, you better have damn good aim.
I got one and I'm glad I did tbh, it's a great gun, but yeah I do hate the capacity Issue.
Exactly!!! Better Make every shot count
I really like it so much though 😪
@@eltrapo913 yeah me too. I just went ahead and bought myself one.

higher capacity is what is happening ! 5dn and 1 in tube, works for me! 45ACP!
Carry 10 rounds of 9mm?
When you can carry 5 rounds of 45 and only need 1
Why would you only have 5?
@@goose2323 Im pretty sure this 45 is a single stack mag.
@@ajm2872 You still would have more than 5 is my point.
@@goose2323 I got a couple 7 round mags for this pistol
Jones Lisa Johnson Charles Martin Ruth
White Thomas Wilson Edward Lewis Richard
Gonzalez George Walker Linda Lee Susan
Bad guys have 20,30,40 round mags. 5,6 rounds isnt enough any more
