11:48 I completely understand your take on religion, but I must share something I have been learning in the past few years! Even when born in a practicing family, everyone has to do their own research and start their path on understanding religion. I strongly believe that religion in itself is amazing, but only when practiced properly. A lot of people who shame instead of support others in their religious journey simply have a misunderstanding on religion. I can only speak for Islam, since that is the religion I know most about, but the approach to sinners discourages shaming and ostracism. Some muslims criticize and give advice in a condescending way anytime someone makes a major or minor sin. This, in a way, is also a sin. Those who do not know that clearly have not started their journey to learn true religion.
This is an issue, because the blame piles up on the religion itself, which would otherwise serve as an amazing guide for people. This is why I want to prioritizing dissecting culture from my religion, so that, whatever I teach my future children will be conducive to a loving, warm and peaceful way of living.

Hi Cathy, Frost in May sounds like a book I would be interested in coming from my Jewish perspective. I have an up-and-down relationship with Anne Tyler. I'm reading The Friend by Sigrid Nunez. I always enjoy your videos. Aloha.

I love those flower studies by Charles Rennie Mackintosh (once I even contemplated a colourful tattoo based on one of them). The novel by Esther Freud sounds interesting, too. I don't really know anything about the life of the painter, and I usually enjoy quiet portraits of artists and writers.
I have too many unfinished books on the go, but none of them is calling for me, so I just picked up A Field Guide to Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit. It's my first essay collection by her, and I like her style so far.

Ok that's really a cool idea for a tatoo!! Hope you continue to like the Solnit. I loved Orwell's Roses. Happy reading!

I haven't read a book yet by Emma Freud but we are reading her book Hideous Kinky, I think in April, with MsReadsalot's 1001 book club. Strange title! I shall find out a bit more about it nearer the time, I don't mind going into book club books blind.
