You will gain approximately 2% in FOC by deleting the wraps and going with a 4" feather. Less feather length is required as you move into the mid EFOC range...the higher FOC, the more pressure that is exerted on the feathers...the longer fletching is now serving to slow down the arrow....the effect is easily discerned at 40 yards...an Ultra EFOC arrow (30% or greater), will correct within half the distance that it takes for a normal FOC arrow....an Ultra EFOC arrow would likely be better off with a 3: inch feather...the impossible ideal arrow would have all the weight up front...
