On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the Indian community in and around Düsseldorf (Marathi Mitra Mandal Deutschland eV) celebrated the traditional Ganesha Festival again in the state capital. The festival, which is one of the most popular in India, was also celebrated in Düsseldorf with a colorful parade, traditional music and dance.
The parade started at 10:00 a.m. on Königsallee and attracted numerous participants and spectators. The parade, which made its way to the Hofgarten on Jägerhofallee, was supported by Lord Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller created a lively connection between Indian culture and the city of Düsseldorf.
The Ganesha Festival offered an impressive opportunity to experience the diversity and cultural tradition of India in Düsseldorf.
