Two Birds: Complete Clearsight and Darkstalker MAP

- Two Birds MAP (multi-animator project) explore the deterioration of Clearsight and Darkstalker relationship from the two thinking they're perfect for each other to Darkstalker's rise in power and Clearsight's realization that she must stop him.
Symbolism
Black vs White: based off of their meaning in the soul reader so black=good and white=bad
The wire:: ties the two together and it's color reflects their relationship (black: they believe they are perfect for each other, Grey: their relationships starts to deteriorate, and White: their relationship it can no longer be salvage.)
Webs, represent the various futures.
Clearsight's Design is inspired by a Barn Owl and Darkstalker"s is inspired by a Black Bill Magpie

Before anyone comments, yes I am aware of Dogloverlikesdoge's! I was aware of since this MAP's call went up! DOGLOVERLIKESDOGE DID NOT COPY ME! She actually had her call up first. We just had the same idea that the same time and made a project about.
Here's the history of events: Dogloverlikesdoge made a Two Birds- Clearsight and Darstalker MAP call late January/early February of 2022 and a week later I had uploaded my call for this MAP. I was complete unaware of her MAP as when I checked about a month before working on concept there was no MAP or call so I was under the impression it was free for the taking. After I uploaded my call I was notified about Dogloverlikesdoge and immediately commented on her call to make sure I wasn't overstepping and that both projects could continue. We agreed and went on working on our MAPs. My MAP was finished in April of 2022 and hers June of 2022. People have the same ideas all the time, we just happened to make a MAP around the same time. It's pure coincidence and neither of use stole each other's idea.

TDLR: the situation is pure coincidenc. Dogloverlikesdoge and I had the same idea at the same time. She made her MAP call First, then me, we talked and agreed everything was fine, and my MAP finished first. Don't harass her, her participants or claim thievery.

I love how the wire slowly becomes white,representing Darkstalker’s insanity according to the soul reader.
I didn't notice that until I watched it a second time, it is a really cool touch!
I love the symbolism so much! You can also see the webs seem to have a mix of white and black, resembling the dark paths and the good paths ahead of them. Every little detail of this map is so amazing!
The background colour changes each time the wire does as well
When Clearsight puts the bracelet on Darkstalker and thinks, “Goodbye, my dearest love..” I cried. And for good reason, too. Us, the reader, can feel the emotions going through Clearsight. We know how much Clearsight loved Darkstalker. She’s not just giving up on the love of her life, she’s giving up on so much more.
She’s also giving up on all the futures that they had together, their future dragonets, the dragon Darkstalker could’ve been, and their happy relationship. Once Fathom enchanted the bracelet, there was no going back. She had her last decision to save Pyrrhia, and it was to give up on her true love.. forever.
Not that they had any Dragonets (which I never knew of another name for baby dragons) or was going to in the first place. It’s just like marriageable problems they always involve with having one too many disagreements and can’t have kids when can’t get along with each other right before divorce.

@@TheMysticalSerpent Well now I think they had their own futures changed of plans since the husband had blew up a chance to make his lover happy with him and stay. It wasn’t able to last long their relationship I mean.
I cried too. It was also the multiple POV's that got me. We could feel Darkstalker's pain in his POVs and also Clearsight's. It had both sides of the story and when Clearsight finally put the bracelet on, it was like they were ripped apart. Any connection they shared in their relationship was gone as they went separate ways. It's why the book is my favourite in the whole series.
Wow, this actually gave me chills. The designs, everything about this MAP is perfect, all the participants did so great on their parts. I’m astonished, this is just… Wow…

This is so amazing. This perfectly depicts Darkstalker and Clearsight’s relationship. Clearsight was afraid of him even BEFORE she met him, and she fell in love with the true and caring Darkstalker that we knew in the middle of the book. He was an actual boyfriend and best friend towards Clearsight, until he started to slowly lose his soul and therefore become more abusive towards her and Fathom (not an excuse, but an explanation).

Thats why people would ask if you would make a au what au would you make, I would answer darkstalker turning out good. The caring boyfriend that he was is why i love his character so much..

@Thalyz Asotus its not necessarily the magic, it's the fact that you can do anything with it. The power that's held within the claws of an animus dragon is basically infinite. And as they say, Power Corrupts. Darkstalker was a great guy to his friends and those he cared about, but he didn't restrain himself nor realize what damage he could do, he only saw what he wanted. Even in the end, when he saw for himself that he was irredeemable by the Souls Glass. He still wouldn't let go. I kinda relate to his fear of forgetting his love and forgetting everything he cared about too.
The way this map is made makes clearsights past with darkstalker even more sad. I love the designs and song so this is perfect

Ikr! It’s my favourite WoF book (maybe even one of my overall favourite books). It’s so sad and sweet and dark and emotional and SO MANY awesome things! I love it!

I love how the symbolism from the books is used in this MAP! Everyone did a wonderful job!
After a couple times watching this, I noticed something. If you pay attention to the background, at the beginning it's a nice, serene blue. As the map progresses, at the part where the hourglass slowly turns white, the background turns orange. Blue and orange are opposites on the color wheel, indicating Darkstalker turning evil. Similar strategies are portrayed in the movie Coraline, where she always wore blue clothes. It changes to orange while in the other world as she falls into the other-mother's trap. Such a little yet important detail to this map!

waaaaah this was so well made! the designs first of all are glorious and hella fitting for the song, secondly the animators did a stunning job in portraying those two's journey and the last part specifically was so damn fitting to the song-

very good song choice! it really underlines the abusive relationship. Darkstalker's wire was definitely the dark path he went down.

I think this is super awesome, and the attention to detail is amazing because if I recall correctly, Clearsight (or maybe Darkstalker) described her visions as a web of some sort.

I'm a super late commenter, (although I've rewatched this MAP tons of times over the past year or two) but I'd just like to say amazing work to all the animators, this was really beautiful. Everyone did an absolutely fantastic job at conveying the emotions throughout Darkstalker and Clearsights' relationship. The subtle details really pull it all together, I can't even begin to imagine the time and effort this would've taken. And great job to the host as well, and other participants, for doing your part in making this extraordinary MAP. I love it.

This is such a good map!!! Everyone did so well and I think the concept is really cool, with it depicting the relationship of dark stalker and clear sight really well. The song choice was also really neat, I haven't heard much of this song but I'll definitely check it out after this :)

I don't know why,but this made me break down in tears. It just hurts me so much that their relationship didn't go well. And I know how it's like to have a controlling friend,or be in a toxic relationship with someone. This is just so sad-

2:47 i honestly love the symbolism in this part. Darkstalker and Arctic are making the same pose. It tells a lot how father and son can be so alike and different while pretty much doing the same thing
