I watched the Golden Spoon for the first time 5 months ago and this week my mind kept reciting “Let Me Know”, so I had to listen to the whole sound track because I didn't know the title of this song. It's underrated to be honest. This song is amazing, it deserves better.
i hate na juhee she dont let seungcheon as everyone i bet she also takeaway seungcheon as that gardener even if that gardener has a gf. i feel bad for yeojin who helped seungcheon for 10 years and get nothing. maybe if juhee not that selfish seungcheon will forget her. this movie literally has 3 bad protagonist. the best protagonist was hwang tae young i guess

Finished the series. I‘m happy and satisfied but at the same time not. Such a good series and great performance and message. But I can’t help but pity him for having to pay the price. All he wanted was just survive. He saw that ppl that live the same life as him sometimes can’t survive and his biggest fear was not surviving. So he sinned to help out his family. Then he got eaten up and kind of greedy. He already had the taste of money, something he thought he always wanted the most and was now scared to lose it. Then he had to pay for his committed sins such as stealing another life and abandoning his family. There was something I am curious about. It was a couple episodes before the final one when he got asked if he regrets his decision to keep living as Hwang Taeyong and I don’t remember him answering when I was really curious. He regretted going back to being Seuncheong as his life didn’t change for the better. But his life as Taeyong was also horrible. Wait he regretted it right? I think he didn’t directly answered to the question but I think he said something along the lines of him losing what actually matters out of his eyesight and only really realized when his father passed. Is that regret or just admitting to his ignorance? The real Taeyong also had it so so bad even though he was wealthy. He had the money and his family was well off but they weren’t the parents he wished for. And being rich was a hassle for him. He suffered from ptsd, was physically and emotionally abused and lost his mother, the only person he knew that loved him. So he was yearning for affection and more freedom. Then when he was living in poverty he hated it. He felt miserable, frustrated and so helpless. But he had what he wished for. A loving family. The thing is. In Taeyongs case he didn’t remember his life as rich Taeyong so he has got no comparison as seungcheon had which means Taeyong only had the taste of the life as seungcheon. While seungcheon still remembers and knows why he switched lifes in first place. It’s just really interesting. In the final Taeyong who wouldn’t abandon what he already got because he appreciated it enough reached his dream (he deserves) while seungcheon is neither rich (which in the end he knew wasn’t what’s most relevant to live a satisfied life) nor did he have his family. He lost all his memories and lives as a "regular" dude. I‘m not sure if he has an at least average income because the real guy who switched places with him was probably very poor. I mean that’s why I think he bought the golden spoon to become one of the richest men in Korea at that time. If yes and seungcheon still lives in poverty he didn’t even change that in comparison to his first real life. Or now, after 3 years he now has an average income. But at his very last scene he talked about how it’s the things that are already there that matter. Enjoy the moment. It makes me think of Memento mori. Enjoy the moment before you die. He enjoys the sunset. Be asked juhee if they couldn’t wait a bit before beginning the interview to enjoy the view of the sunset and he fully meant that. He looked so satisfied just being able to look at it. It shows us that the typical saying that "money doesn’t buy happiness" isn’t just a saying we hear everyday. But poverty kills. Such a Dilemma. I think the poem titled free that seungcheon wrote as a kid sums it up the best. I just can’t help but get a unsatisfied feeling finishing the series because I expected a different ending since episode 1. but the ending is the harsh reality of how it is supposed to be which also satisfies me at the same time. Seungcheon smiles in the end which just reliefs me. All that matters is that you stay true to yourself so y‘all better don’t buy that golden spoon.
Talking about his income, I don't remember correctly but towards the end of the series Juhee did mention that the gardener had a billion won and he taught stock trading to kids
I wish they didn't do this last minute change where Seungcheon swaps with another person it doesn't make sense to me. Seongchoen kind of already paid the price while he was being Tayeong because he didn't fully go it to the mood where he would anything to keep gaining money. He wasn't like Hyeondo who murdered, deceived, mentally tortured people just so that he can remain at the top. Hyeondo even told Seungcheon that he would not have to suffer if he would let go of his family and the kind hearted spirit. But still Seungcheon clasped on to them till the very end. He wasn't like Jeong Nara who kept on stealing things from people even after swapping he wasn't like Hyeondo who kept on doing what he did throughout his entire life. And yet he got the worst punishment which was not getting what he wanted to be happy with his family to be with his family and not having to worry about money. The screenwriters just made him forget about his family and made him rich which doesn't make sense because he doesn't want riches he wants peace of mind with his family and he didn't get it
Someone please recommend me drama like this. Im still finding something really worth to watch. About rich people turn down poor family. Not about romance 100% please recommend me !
